I really enjoyed my stay. I had the double plus single bed room upstairs and it was large, with a sofa, fridge, kettle, mircowave, smart TV with netflix etc and a beautiful view. The weather was bad and the balcony completely protected me from the elements and looked over the bay and gorgeous pool. I was allowed a late checkout which I really appreciated. The staff were all lovely. The only very minor things that can't be helped is the busy road in front and being a little out of the main hub. However this is reflected in the pricing so makes it a great option. I'm confused by some of the bad reviews - it isn't claiming or charging to be a 5 star resort.

Great accommodation. Helpful and friendly staff. Exceptional included breakfast. Our room was clean and tidy with great views. This is not the first stay here and it won't be the last. It will be our go to when staying at Airlie Beach. 😃👍

Great location within walking of shops, cafes and bars. Beautiful harbor view from our room and restaurant. Our room was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The service was excellent. We dined in for dinner and inclusive continental breakfast. Meals were very generous and delicious and very reasonably priced. Happy Hour in the bar 4-5pm. Definitely recommend Colonial Palms Motor Inn.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but had a very poor experience when trying to arrange a stay. I wanted to book 3 non consecutive nights because of Reefsleep. I was first told it was ok, then afterwards my single day booking was just denied, without any clear explanation or any offer to find a solution. If this was any indication of the level of service I would get there I don't want to stay there anymore.

In one word “dont” most disgusting place ever had the misfortune to stay. Overrun with ants, cockroaches, dining table broken and unstable, coffee table held up by shadow, lounge totally gross, used for everything but sitting on, smelled of rotting food. The TV’s were too high on the walls.|Floor tiles cracked and dirty. No where to sit luggage. Electric jug came from dollar store. Overpriced by $100 a night. Restaurant tables rickety. Overall appearance gross and aged. I am surprised what tourists put up with.

Had an amazing one week stay over Christmas, our expectations were exceeded with excellent customer service from all staff and especially Greg and Nettie who went well above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The continental breakfast was fresh, plentiful and a wonderful start to the day. Location was very handy to Airlie Beach and the ferry terminal to Hamilton Island. The swimming pool was the highlight for all of us and especially our son, we went swimming every day in the pool on more than one occasion. We had dinner in the restaurant onsite and the food was high standard. Laundry facilities were very handy and the shuttle was organised to and from the airport from one of the staff. Highly recommend the resort and would stay here again. The Greenwood Family

The hotel is in a perfect location walking distance to the city centre the view from our balcony was amazing the room was very spacious and very clean the staff were amazing so friendly and helpful we could not have been any happier happy hour and the food was great in the restaurant and the view from the restaurant and deck was great once again Colonial palms and your amazing staff thankyou for a wonderful stay and we will definitely come back again they Even surprised my wife with a Birthday Desert. Clean, tidy, cool rooms. Able to leave ranch slider open all night gor fresh air, security screen fitted. Tap very loose in bathroom unit 7
