Response from the property
Dear Arthur, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly pleased to read that you appreciated the apartment, its interior design, and the location, as well as the opportunity to enjoy the historic centre with ease and independence. We are, however, sorry to learn that some aspects did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the entrance, the images used refer to the different types of units that are part of Palazzo Scotto and Widespread Collection, each located within distinct historic settings and therefore featuring different architectural characteristics. There is no discrepancy between what is presented and what is offered: each unit fully corresponds to what is reserved, ensuring complete transparency and clarity at the time of booking. Regarding the bathroom, we appreciate your feedback and take note of your comments. The fittings are selected in line with the category of the property and are intended to provide functionality and comfort throughout the stay. Guest feedback is always valuable to us as it helps us continuously evaluate and refine our standards. We are glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere and the ease of exploring the town, especially during the winter period, when Alberobello reveals its quieter and most authentic character. We would be pleased to welcome you again in the future for an experience even more aligned with your expectations. Palazzo Scotto

For dining, the hotel's own NOS restaurant is on the ground floor, serving Mediterranean dishes from local ingredients. The hotel also has a bar and a cafe, so you can stay in for a drink or a light bite. For other options, the town center is a short walk away, with the Trullo Sovrano and Casa D'Amore sights nearby. You can also explore the Rione Monti area, a 5-minute walk, where you'll find more local eateries. The hotel's restaurant is a solid choice for dinner, and the bar is good for an evening drink.
Palazzo Scotto sits on Alberobello's nineteenth-century main street, a few steps from the Basilica, in the heart of the old town. The trulli district is right at your door: Casa D'Amore is a 2-minute walk, Trullo Sovrano 3 minutes, and the Territory Museum House Pezzolla 4 minutes. Rione Monti, the famous trulli quarter, is a 5-minute stroll, with Trullo Siamese just beyond at 6 minutes. The area is quiet and walkable, with the town's sights all within a short stroll. For a splash of water fun, Acqua Splash Alberobello is 2.2 km away, a short drive or ride.
From Bari airport, the easiest way is a private transfer arranged by the hotel, about an hour's drive. By train, take the Ferrovie del Sud Est line from Bari to Alberobello station, then walk about ten minutes to the palazzo. From Brindisi airport, the drive is also about an hour, and a transfer can be arranged. The palazzo is on Corso Trieste e Trento, not in a restricted traffic zone, so you can drive right up. For parking, pull into Piazza Curri round the corner to unload, then use the Marinelli garage or Largo Italo Svevo about 400 metres away.
In the evening, the trulli of Alberobello are at their most atmospheric, and the hotel's own NOS restaurant on the ground floor serves Mediterranean cooking with live piano on the evenings it is open. After dinner, a short stroll among the trulli is a simple pleasure, as the town quiets down. The nearby sights, like Trullo Sovrano (3 min walk) and Trulli, Rione Monti (5 min walk), are close enough for a relaxed evening walk. For a different pace, consider a guided tour of the trulli or a boat tour from Monopoli to the Polignano caves, both bookable through the hotel. The hotel's bar and cafe are also right there for a drink before or after your evening out.
Yes, Palazzo Scotto is an excellent base for exploring Alberobello on foot. The main sights are all within a short walk: Casa D'Amore is 2 minutes away, Trullo Sovrano 3 minutes, the Territory Museum House Pezzolla 4 minutes, and the Trulli of Rione Monti just 5 minutes. Trullo Siamese is a 6-minute walk, while Acqua Splash Alberobello is 2.2 km away, so you would need a car or transit for that one. The palazzo sits on the main street, and the town is best visited on foot. For day trips, the hilltowns of the Itria Valley are easy to reach from here. After exploring, you can return to the hotel's own restaurant, NOS, for dinner.
