We absolutely loved our visit to Annecy in June, but our experience at this hotel was mixed. The location of the hotel is decent, close enough to old town by bus and in a quieter area. The room was a little cramped, and the crib that we had requested when booking was nowhere to be found for our 1 year old. This was fine ultimately because there was no way one could have fit! The outdoor picnic table area was such a nice touch, a great escape from the room. The younger gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He allowed us to use their fridge for our baby's milk which was a huge help. There was a younger woman at the front who was less enthusiastic about helping us with the same. You get what you pay for, I don't know what some of these other reviewers were expecting from a lower cost option. We enjoyed our stay, just a mixed experience!

We were immediately asked for payment as soon as we arrived without firstly being shown the room. The room was filthy. The floor, which my wife cleaned, and the skirting boards, which I cleaned, were particularly dirty. The shower curtain was so ingrained with accumulated dirt that we had to remove it for exchange. We were given a clean one to fit ourselves. There was no soap in the dispenser and dispite our complaints, we never got any for the whole duration of our stay. The rooms are not serviced. If you want clean towels or toilet rolls you have to ask for them. You must empty your own bin. If you want anything like a needle and thread, a kettle or the loan of a couple of wine glasses you won't get any joy whatsoever. Before you finish asking you can be sure of a negative response just by the staff's negative, facial expression. The management need to get a grip on the situation, which could easily be improved with a customer care policy effectively deployed.

We checked in at late night, the room that was provided to us had bed bugs, literally could see live ones walking on the floor . Blood stains on the floor(crushed bed bugs). The room light also was not working. The images don’t do justice.ProsThe receptionist was quite friendly and reasonable , he tried to help us out by checking for other rooms and did his best. The sheets were clean, bathroom was decent.

Great value for the price. Basic small room but very clean and cool on a hot, hot day. Excellent breakfast. 30 minute walk down to the old town and the lake, which was welcome after a long car journey.

The good: The view from outside the hotel was quite nice; walking from there to the lake is feasible; and the person at the front desk tried to be helpful (when available). The less good: Rooms were pretty small (had to move the bed to even open my luggage). There is no one at the reception past 10pm, and the "automated check-in" machine almost got us locked out as it could not find our booking. Overall, very little to offer for the relatively high price they ask. Some other hotels in the area have twice the room size and better service for almost the same price.

Great hotel for a stop over on the way to a ski resort. Restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. The only negative our room did smell slightly of smoke.

Room was small but clean. Bathroom was ok. The hotel provides free parking which is very convenient. The reception is very busy as the hotel seems to be a popular option. However we were disappointed because there was no hand wash in the bathroom and also there were big towers only. We asked at the reception for hand was and hand towers, reception guy said they would provide but when we returned later at the hotel the situation was the same. Another thing is that toilet paper is very small and thin. We were aware of this in advance so we brought toilet paper but this is the first time we are doing it... So having in mind all the above I would say that the hotel provides beds only and the price for this is not cheat at all. They should work on staff and maintenance. Breakfast was fine though.
