Response from the property
Dear Cheryl, Greetings from our little paradise. Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful review. We are delighted that, although you were not staying with us, you chose to experience our Bean-to-Cup Coffee Tour, enjoy several meals and take home some of our estate-grown coffee. It is especially rewarding to hear that Yahana made such a positive impression. We will be delighted to share your kind words with him. Our Coffee Guides are passionate about sharing the story behind every cup, and we're so pleased he made your visit both enjoyable and memorable. Thank you for recommending us to fellow travellers. Reviews like yours help others discover that Arusha Coffee Lodge is much more than a place to stay—it's a destination to experience. We hope to welcome you back to our little paradise again soon. You can start with the lodge's own dining: the restaurant, bar, café, and snack bar serve estate-grown coffee and locally sourced dishes. For a change of scene, Amani Restaurant and Amani Safari Lodge and Restaurant are both along Old Dodoma Road nearby. Legendary Lodge, also on the coffee estate, offers dining, and Leons Garden is another option in Arusha. The Boma - Rocco's Kitchen and Kilimanjaro Food Court are also within reach for a meal out.
The lodge sits on the Burka Coffee Estate, a working coffee plantation on Arusha's western edge, so the immediate setting is green and rural. The Cultural Heritage Centre is a 20-minute walk away, and the Arusha Clock Tower is 5.6 km from the lodge. The area is quiet and spread out, with the city center a short drive away. You can explore the estate grounds, and the lodge's own bar, cafe, restaurant, and snack bar are right there for meals and drinks. For a taste of the wider region, the Meserani Snake Park is 18.2 km and Arusha National Park is 25.6 km away.
From Kilimanjaro International Airport, the transfer to Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge takes between 1 hour and 1.5 hours. From Arusha Airport, the lodge is just a 5-minute drive away. If you are arriving by train, the main station is in Arusha town centre, about a 35-minute drive from the lodge. You can arrange a chauffeur-driven transfer from either airport, and the lodge's representatives will meet you on arrival. A pre-booked transfer is the most straightforward way to reach the lodge.
In the evening, you can stay at the lodge and enjoy its bar, restaurant, and snack bar, all set within the coffee estate. For a short outing, the Cultural Heritage Centre is a 20-minute walk away and often hosts cultural events. The Arusha Clock Tower, 5.6 km away, is a landmark worth a drive to see the city lights. You could also book a guided city tour that includes evening culture and market experiences. For a relaxed night, the lodge's own garden and bistro offer a peaceful setting under the stars.
Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is a good base for exploring Arusha, especially if you have transport. The Cultural Heritage Centre is a 20-minute walk away, making it easy to reach on foot. The Arusha Clock Tower is 5.6 km away, and Meserani Snake Park is 18.2 km away, so those are better reached by car or taxi. Arusha National Park is 25.6 km away, a scenic drive that works well as a day trip. The lodge is also five minutes from Arusha Airport, which is handy for connecting to safari flights. For city exploring, a taxi or ride-hailing service will get you around comfortably.
