Oh my goodness, where do I start? Simply the best. Originally booked through Luxury Escapes but having further communication directly with the hotel, whether by telephone or WhatsApp, everything was effortless. Arriving at 1am, we were warmly welcomed by staff who already knew us by name, before being driven to and personally escorted to our room. The room itself was magnificent—spacious, luxurious, and unlike anything we had experienced before. The staff, food, drinks, service, facilities, and housekeeping were all exceptional. In fact, every single staff member we encountered delivered genuine five-star service. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Located in the beautiful Nusa Dua area, the hotel offers the perfect secluded escape while still being conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and attractions via taxi or Grab. This hotel is an absolute must-visit. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to returning.

Our stay at Hotel Ulu Segara luxury suites & villas was amazing. We were thinking to stay at Hilton hotel (5 min away) or Ulu Segara luxury suites, and I’m glad I made the right decision. The room is so huge, with stunning ocean view. The staff service was fantastic, so welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is quiet, no noisy tourist, you can chill at your balcony and have a bottle of beer to enjoy the peaceful time.

Our stay at Ulu Segara was satisfactory, but considering the hotel is rated as 5-stars we were quite disappointed in our stay. We are regular visitors in Bali (We normally come 1-2x each year) and this was our first time staying at Ulu Segara. Firstly, there is no service within the hotel rooms which is not disclosed on their website or advised upon checking in. The hotel does supply wifi, which works at an extremely slow speed. My partner and I needed to be reachable whilst away for our jobs, and the lack of service/slow wifi speed was extremely inconvenient. The service/wifi is best in the Lobby as it is high up on the cliff, however at the time of our stay a new villa/hotel was being built next door which had excavators and other large machinery causing a high noise level. This caused further issues with us communicating with our colleagues/work. Secondly, the rooms are quite poorly maintained and outdated. The rooms are very superficially cleaned. On our last night our aircon system also failed, which caused our room to become humid, and then cause the tiles floor (the entire room) to become extremely slippery. Thirdly, given the hotel location being on a cliff the pool does not get much sun. By 1pm the sun would be behind the hotel and there is no sun on the pool. This prompted us to use the beach via the hotel, which was quite dangerous to get down too and had locals fishing and hanging out. Given we didn’t feel comfortable at the beach, we ended up attending other local resorts which had a better layout. Staff are friendly, some more than others. The food was also decent; nothing spectacular. We likely will not return to Ulu Segara due to the above.

A very nice and super spacious staycation place in Sawangan Nusa Dua area with reasonable room rate. The pool view is so breathtaking with spacious and comfortable room with kitchen set. Private and quiet ambience are guaranteed here. Direct booking is highly recommended so you can get welcome drink, afternoon tea and breakfast included. Thank you Jey Waisnawa from Reservation team, Mba Rosita for efficient check in process, Mba Cynthia for welcome drink, Mas Yogi for assisting me to the room, Mas Agus for great service at pool bar, Mba Yanti & Mba Dona for nice service during breakfast time and to all Ulu Segara staffs for great services and hospitality.

One of the finest stay. Room was fantastic. Nothing negative about this hotel Location too good. Morning views. Breakfast food. Staffs . All are 10/10. I would rather give more. Will come again for sure

The rooms at Ulu Segara are spacious and offer stunning ocean views, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. On our first night, the shower flooded due to drainage issues that were clearly not functioning properly. Despite reporting the problem, we were not allowed to change rooms, which was disappointing given the circumstances. The rooms themselves feel quite outdated and in need of refurbishment. Throughout our stay, the service was the worst we experienced during our time in Bali. Staff appeared poorly trained, communication was often unclear, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination when handling guest concerns. The food at the hotel was also underwhelming, lacking flavour and variety. In addition, there wasn’t much to do on the property, which made the overall experience feel even more disappointing. Another concern was that many areas of the hotel had a damp smell, and we were concerned about the possibility of mould in some parts of the property.

Excellent hospitality, staffs and service. Extremely warm, friendly and have room service too. Absolutely amazing. Great ocean room view and huge rooms. I have to say the only feedback I have would be cell reception, there is no cell network service for rooms at the suite, which I really wasn’t aware of. Another concern is that the property is a bit old and worn down, proper maintenance should be done, and the toilet flush doesn’t work so great at all. Aside from that, everything else is great.

On the first day during check-in, I already had a bad experience. I was planning to write a review, but I decided not to at first because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, during check-out, my interaction with the front desk staff made me certain that I should leave an honest review. Positive: * The room was spacious, clean and had a nice view. It was very well maintained * Big applause to Mr. Yogi, who was very friendly and knowledgeable, as well as the staff member who escorted us to the room * The pool was large, clean, and the staff around the pool area were very friendly Negative: * We arrived early at 1:30 PM, and we understood that check-in time is at 2:00 PM, so we were happy to wait. However, when we asked again at 2:00 PM, I was already feeling unwell with a stomachache, and they gave unclear reasons like “the room is not ready.” We only got access to our room at 2:49 PM. * Unfortunately, the front office staff were not friendly * The breakfast was just average. My husband barely ate because the food was not very good. We had breakfast at 8:30 AM and some of the items we wanted were already finished and not refilled * The most important issue that needs attention for future guests is safety. The stairs leading down to the beach were very slippery. I understand there was a warning sign, but the steps are too small, especially for people with bigger feet Unfortunately, my husband slipped and fell there that day. His right hand was bleeding, and his phone was damaged (luckily, the case helped protect it). There was no staff or security around to assist, so I had to provide basic first aid myself When we checked out, I informed the front desk staff about what had happened. The response I received was very disappointing. She initially dismissed my concern and gave many excuses. Only after I showed my dissatisfaction did she finally say, “Alright, ma’am, thank you for your advice.” Because of this experience, I will not be coming back Thank you
