If you stay in Bangkok either you are for business or your itinerary is mainly shopping this hotel might be one of the best choice. Market is literally just beside or under this hotel. Hotel is clean, the receptionist speak English well and our room is clean and spacious for two people. No other amenities but it has eatery, elevator, and lobby. The nearest train station which is BTS ratchatewi is about 15mins walk. And also lots of convince store nearby.

I’ve stayed at First House Bangkok a few times mainly because of its unbeatable location. It’s extremely convenient, right downstairs you already have food stalls, small shops, a shopping market, and a 7-Eleven. It’s also only about a 5-minute walk to December Mall and Platinum Mall, which makes it perfect if your main goal is shopping. One thing I appreciated is that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Chatuchak on weekends (around 10:30am and 12:30pm, if I remember correctly), which is a nice added bonus. For the rooms, I booked the double room without a window. A tip for future guests: make sure you check the room photos carefully when booking. There is another “double room” option that is more expensive and looks more luxurious in photos, but it’s actually smaller — not really worth the extra money in my opinion. Overall, this is a typical budget hotel — don’t expect luxury. There’s no bathtub, and the toilet/shower setup is basic with just a shower curtain separating the wet and dry areas. It’s really more for convenience and location rather than comfort. During my most recent stay, I had some issues. On the first day, we were given a room with a leaking air conditioner. We went to the lobby early the next morning (around 8am) to request a room change, and thankfully it was allowed — though we had to technically check out and check in again. However, what really disappointed me this time was the service. There was one staff member (possibly a manager, as he wore a darker uniform) who was not helpful at all and seemed to just say “no” to everything without trying to assist. This was quite different from my previous experiences and left a bad impression. Because of this, although the location is still great, I’ll likely try other hotels in the area for my next trip.

First House Hotel Bangkok: Decent Value, But Mind the Door Sign! Staying at the First House Hotel Bangkok in Soi Phetchaburi 19, the general consensus is that the room quality is pretty decent for the price range. You get a clean, functional space that serves as a solid base for exploring the vibrant Pratunam area without breaking the bank. It's an honest, no-frills choice for the budget-conscious traveler. However, a memorable (and slightly startling) incident arose regarding the service: they do open the room even if you are not inside to clean. My travel partner and I were caught off guard since we were not aware this was their policy without the "Make Up Room" sign. It resulted in a slightly awkward surprise! Luckily, after realizing their proactive cleaning style, we started using the essential travel accessory: the "Do Not Disturb" sign. Once that sign was up, we had overall no problem with privacy, and importantly, the security was fine—I can confirm that nothing was missing btw. While the cleaning policy is very efficient, remember to use that DND sign liberally to ensure your privacy during your stay!

Stayed for a week during year-end holiday. Place is okay, near to lot of shopping centre and street foods are just one-step away. Hotel was average, room is big enough for luggage and stuffs, air conditioning works as intended. Bathroom is way too small, and hot water isn't working the whole stay, forcing me to take the cold shower entirely. Room was clean enough, the bathroom was just ok but they could do better. Cold storage available in our room, bur not water heater. Only 2 power sockets available in our room, which are dull and we have to hang our wall plug during charge. WiFi connection was good, but needs password to connect, which given only 2 passwords each room (but you could request for more passwords to receptionist). There are maximum 2 pax capacity for each room despite its big room size, and will be charged THB 1000 for extra person, each night, which we forced to pay since we're staying with 3 person a night, and no available room left. In conclusion, First House Hotel strategically located in 'heart of' Pratunam, a decent hotel for short-term stay to get easy access to most tourist picks. Personally i will not recommend this place for long-term staying.

There is a modus here. We stayed here for a total of 5 days. On the 3rd day of our stay i requested to clean our room, when we got back it was okay not a single item is missing. But on our 4th day, i did not request for a room cleaning service but when we got back to hotel someone cleaned the entire room. I was shocked but i thought maybe they misinterpret the reqest assumed i wanted a cleaning service everyday. So when i checked my baggages they are ok. But when i checked the items we bought from inhalers to pants, some are gone. My set of inhalers were missing.

Not bad at all.. the service is good and nice.. the food is good too! The thing is I think one of ur cleaner threw out one of my contact lenses along w my lash strips..🥹....

This was not my first visit to Bangkok, but unfortunately, this hotel stay was an unpleasant experience due to the receptionist’s service. On the first night, the situation was still acceptable, as we requested a room change and it was handled professionally. However, later that night when we returned to our room, we noticed that the room next to us was occupied by a large family with many children. They were having a gathering with the door open, talking and laughing loudly, while the children were running along the corridor. It was already 11:30 p.m., and I was concerned about whether the soundproofing would allow us to rest properly. I immediately called the receptionist and requested that they ask the guests to lower their volume. After some time, the noise was reduced. On the second night, the same issue occurred again. I called the receptionist to report it, but to my surprise, I was told to personally call the neighboring room and make the request myself. I was shocked, as this is clearly the responsibility of the receptionist. I asked her to confirm whether she was unwilling to assist and expected me to handle the situation on my own, and she replied “yes.” As a result, I had to walk over and ask the neighbors myself to lower their volume. This is unacceptable. A hotel receptionist should manage such situations, not leave guests to resolve conflicts on their own. First House Hotel management: please properly educate and train your staff, or consider hiring new staff if the current ones are unwilling to perform their duties. Unless this is somehow part of your hotel policy—which would be very disappointing—we will not recommend this hotel to anyone. With similar prices in Bangkok, guests deserve far better service than this. This incident was on 31st Jan, a lady receptionist was on night shift that day. Additionally, due to poor soundproofing, we were woken up at 8:00 a.m. by the housekeeping attendants speaking loudly. While I understand that housekeeping staff begin work early, it would be appreciated if they could be more considerate, as guests also need proper rest.

Room is big clean and cold. They clean the room daily. Breakfast is great so delicious. Few food choices but i love the food walking distance to shopping places
