I recently stayed at Mercure Bangkok Makkasan, and overall, I had a pleasant experience. I arrived late at the hotel, and the property itself looked very nice and welcoming. As an Accor Gold member, I truly appreciated that the reception team provided us with complimentary room upgrades for both of our rooms. They also arranged special room decoration, which was a thoughtful gesture and made our stay feel more special. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The buggy service to and from the metro station was not clearly explained to us, so we found it confusing to understand the timing and availability. Clear communication regarding this would be very helpful for guests. Additionally, the concierge staff member on the ground floor was extremely helpful and hardworking, but it appeared that only one person was managing multiple responsibilities — handling luggage, driving the buggy, and providing concierge assistance. This seemed overwhelming for a single staff member and could impact service efficiency during busy times. Another concern was the presence of many mosquitoes in the lobby area on the ground floor, possibly due to nearby water features. This made us uncomfortable while waiting in the lobby, and better mosquito control measures would improve the guest experience. Overall, the hotel staff was courteous, and the room experience was very good, especially with the upgrade and decoration. With some improvements in communication and lobby comfort, the stay could be even better.

Amazing breakfast! The room was clean, and we were given a very quiet room, which made our stay even more comfortable. Transportation to and from the ARL station and the 7-Eleven was conveniently arranged by the hotel's shuttle bus. The service was incredible, every staff member was attentive and very detail-oriented. They were also quick to provide us with an extra mattress as soon as we requested one, which we really appreciated. A special thank you to all the staff and especially P'Yod, P'Em and P' Tae for the 11 p.m. late-night shuttle run and for patiently waiting right outside the 7-Eleven for us. We truly appreciated your kindness and excellent service. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our 8 nights stay was very good. Food is very good and fresh, staff is very helpful. Thanks to the receptions team to have upgraded our room. And the hotel has very good facility of shuttles to Palladium world and hourly shuttle to MRT station. Thanks to Em & Jack for regularly dropping us in the shuttles. Only one suggestion is to have the bathroom and washroom separated with a door if possible. It would increase the charm and appearance of the rooms. Also, morning breakfast consisted of mainly pork. It's a suggestion of you could include more dishes of chicken, that would be great. The hotel has decorated our room beautifully as we were celebrating a birthday. We also got a lovely chocolate cake. Thanks for the lovely decorations! Considering the food, value and services this hotel provides, we will definitely visit again.

We stayed at Mercure Bangkok Makkasan for 5 nights and 6 days, and we had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a huge plus in Bangkok’s hot weather. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we felt that the hotel offered excellent value for the price. The location wasn’t perfect, but it was still very convenient for getting around Bangkok. With easy access to transportation and the hotel’s shuttle service, we had no trouble exploring the city. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hourly free shuttle bus service to the MRT station and Pratunam. It saved us so much time and transportation costs, especially during Bangkok’s peak traffic hours. This service made exploring the city much more convenient. We would also like to give special recognition to P’Yod, who was always there to help us with our luggage, the shuttle bus, and anything else we needed during our stay. P’Victor was also exceptionally friendly, kind, and helpful throughout our visit. They both made our experience even more enjoyable and truly deserve recognition for their outstanding service. The only suggestion we have is for the breakfast buffet. While the food was good, it would be even better if the menu changed more from day to day, as it was quite similar each morning. Other than that, everything was perfect. We created so many amazing and unforgettable memories with our friends during this trip, and Mercure Bangkok Makkasan was a big part of that. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok

Lovely hotel, nice clean room, good wafer pressure, comfy bed with nice pillows. Facilities were nice, pool area, gym, but I liked the Restaurant it had a great Buffet at breakfast with a good variety offered. There was a very nice menu offered at dinner aswell. Checkin and checkout was fast, staff were very professional and friendly. Pare and her Restaurant staff were amazing, the shuttle drivers were so acomodating and gave great information. Goon who worked on security at the front entrance always had a welcoming smile to new and present guests. The staff really impressed me and made my stay amazing, I felt they went above and beyond across all area's and met their mission statement.

I had a great stay at this hotel. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to the nearest train station, which was very convenient. Tae, one of the staff members, went above and beyond by helping me get to the station. He was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout. Kudos to Tae for his excellent service!

Overall, the hotel is okay, but it does feel a bit dated, with some areas showing their age. The staff are excellent and truly stand out. Everyone was very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay, and the service consistently felt warm and genuine. The location is so-so. There’s not much within walking distance, so you’ll need to rely on the hotel’s shuttle tuk-tuk to get to the Bangkok MRT or nearby areas. This works well, but it’s not ideal if you prefer to get around on foot. Breakfast is good with a reasonable choice of menus. Overall, it’s a very good option for a short or a business trip, especially if you have your own transportation.
