The room was nice, and the air conditioning worked well. However, the Wi-Fi was slow, disconnected frequently, and required me to reconnect far too often. The login process was also more complicated than at most other hotels. There was no toothbrush provided in the room. We didn’t realize we had to request one, so we ended up buying toothbrushes at a nearby 7-Eleven. and it was really hot day 😞 There are a lot of steps, which is not ideal for older guests, especially during the rainy season when they can become slippery. The elevator was hot and very slow. The breakfast was not delicious, although the quality of the ingredients was good.

Our stay at Theatre Residence was amazing! The staff are so warm, kind, and helpful. They have daily workshops in the afternoon for free which Dream was very helpful in translating for me, as well as a free walking tour around the nearby temple or the market just steps outside the front door. Pat gave a wonderful tour of the temple, he was very informative and respectful of our religious views while helping us understand his own. We also found the market next door to be filled with all the things you would need as well as a ferry pier just 3 minutes through the market which can take you most places you’d want to go. Overall the hotel was everything we needed for a wonderful and restful stay in Bangkok. The staff truly made us feel welcomed and at home.

I loved this hotel. Excellent value for money. We were looking for something nice but close to the Grand Palace and found this one. It is very spacious, and there is a ferry 2-3 min walk from the hotel that works until 18 and it's like 5 baht to get to the other side where the Grand Palace is. There is also a market right around the corner and also a few min walk to the nearest 7/11. They have a restaurant right next to the hotel and the breakfast is included in the price. We took the poolside view room on the ground floor and it was great. The smoking area was just a few feet away from the room. It has a small minibar (chips, drinks in the fridge), a lot of storage space, big screen tv, nice and spacious shower and a small terrace in front of the room (and right next to the pool that is opened until 19). They offer laundry service as well. As far as parking goes, they have a small parking lot for maybe 4 - 6 cars. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. As far as we could tell everything was clean and the staff came to make our room every day and replace everything that was needed (toilet paper, new towels...). There was no noise during the night, but since there is a school nearby during the day you can hear kids from the smoking area only. If I would have to say anything negative about the property it would be the shutter blinds in the room. They are a bit of drag to close and navigate and don't really blackout the room so people might be able to see inside. The blackout/roll out kind would be a better choice for the ground floor next to the pool. Hope this helps if you plan on staying here but I would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel .The location was perfect and easy to walk to many attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and we would consider coming back

Theatre Residence offers a peaceful riverside escape with beautiful landscaping and spacious rooms. The property balances modern comfort with natural beauty perfectly. The true highlights are the exceptional staff, whose warm hospitality makes a lasting impression, and the outstanding breakfast, which stands out as the best part of the morning. Tucked away next to the river, the atmosphere is incredibly serene. However, the approach involves navigating quite a narrow lane, which can be tricky. Additionally, the shuttle service to the main road isn't available every day, so you will need to check with the staff beforehand to coordinate your trips.

This hotel is in a lovely hidden away spot by the river. The staff are attentive and the rooms are very large and clean! Great location for visiting temples- as well as shopping malls like iconsiam! be sure to use the ferry’s. It is located right next to wanglang market which is a wonderful local feeling market with lots of exciting food! Breakfast is lovely with plenty of variety. Overall 100% recommend :)

Theatre Residence was the perfect hotel choice! The service was remarkable. Everyone was so kind and hospitable. I had the double room, and it came with breakfast. The room was the most spacious of my trip, and very homey. It has a full fridge, microwave, sink, etc.. Beyond the central, riverfront property and amazing eats, the people and free Thai experiences offered is what made this unforgettable. Pat, one of the hosts, gave a free, hour long private tour of the nearby temple. I learned so much. Each day at 3pm they held free craft lessons. They have a desk in the lobby for information about the area. The man who works there, Tom, was very kind and helped us get oriented with the public transportation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Bangkok. Thank you so much to the staff for a sweet time in Bangkok!!

The hotel is built in such a way as to have a large central area with a nice pool, reflecting pools with fish, and flowers. The staff was helpful in giving good advice, directions, and calling taxis, etc. Although the location would seem to be at the intersection of 2 small streets, the hotel itself is an oasis of calm in the middle of a very busy city, and is located 1 block from the pier for a water taxi that takes you directly to the pier across the river that serves the Royal Palace and national museums. Across from that is a nice public garden and the Wat Rakhang (worth seeing). The rooms are quite good for the price, and many have windows and balconies that give views of the pool area or the golden temples in the Royal Palace, which is lit up at night. The restaurant is good, with particularly good and varied food and a terrace on the river, again with views of the lit Royal palace at night.
