An excellent rooftop bar with an amazing atmosphere! Right from the entrance, my friend and I were welcomed by Anuar, who was very friendly. Melanie is super friendly, cheerful, and positive—she's a absolute pleasure to talk to. And a huge thank you to Chus for her incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail with the guests. Such genuine service and human warmth are really hard to find these days.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are small but functional. The roof top bar was really nice - we enjoyed drinks and tapas there. If you book a room that faces the cathedral, be aware that the plaza area is very busy and noisy until midnight most nights. They have street performers, bands, individual musicians that perform all day and night on the plaza. The view is amazing and you can stand on the small balcony and be entertained but you may have trouble sleeping.

Almost everything about this hotel was great, the location is spectacular, the rooms are clean, and the rooftop bar was awesome. However the service was subpar. Every time we walked into the hotel the security guards asked if we were guests despite staying at the hotel 3 nights and being questioned by the same guards. On the last night the guard asked us to show him our room key to prove we were guests. I then forgot an item in the room and realized a couple days later. I called the hotel to see if they had it and the front desk said to call later. I called a couple days after and the gentleman on the phone was extremely rude and just told me to send an email to the front desk instead of talking to him. He hung up on me and I called back a couple hours later. The lady said she heard me talking to her colleague previously and said they would “email me” if they found the item despite me telling them I left town later that day. She then hung up on me after telling me that. Absolutely ridiculous experience considering the price and caliber of this hotel. I would recommend picking a branded hotel (Marriott) as their standards for customer service are much superior.

Great location, right in gothic quarter. We were able to walk everywhere, Catalunya Square, where the Red Hop on Bus is, the marina and beach area and the funicular too. Hotel staff are amazing, room was spacious, clean and very cool, considering we stayed during very hot weather. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection, served in a lovely dining room. Couldn’t fault the place. Beautiful

Our stay at Lamaro was absolutely wonderful! From the very first moment, we felt truly welcomed and cared for. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and comfortable, with attention to every detail. The rooms were elegant, and the view was breathtaking! A special thank you to the staff — professional, warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made our trip even more memorable. The atmosphere of the hotel is  warm and sophisticated at the same time, and the location is perfect for enjoying the city. Thank you for making our stay so special. We would gladly return again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!

We had a wonderful time here - the staff members were all very friendly and helpful, the room was great (we chose to book a room with a cathedral view, which was lovely). Room types were clearly communicated on their website, and we chose to book the cathedral room. There is some noise, but you should expect that in a central, city location like this - and I was actually impressed with how much noise the glass balcony doors filtered out when closed. We slept very well. We booked directly on their website (which you should always do!) and they gave us complimentary access to the mini bar (one stocking of it) for doing so. A unique perk! Location was great, with the full acknowledgement that it's a highly concentrated tourism area. You can easily walk around the Gothic Quarter and El Born from the hotel, and you also have nearby access to the metro, which we utilized via an Hola Barcelona card, which we found really easy. We also walked down to the beach in Barcelonetta, which is a bit longer of a walk, but a pleasant one.

I stayed in the Lamaro Hotel Barcelona in May 2026 for work. The location is outstanding (directly across from the cathedral and near many core work and tourist locations), the rooms were immaculate, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was unexpectedly excellent and I enjoyed both the breakfast and dinners. The view from the roof deck cannot be beat. Some of the common area furniture on the landings was a bit worn, but don't let the scare you off. I greatly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

The hotel is beautifuly decorated. Premium finishes in the lobby, restaurant and rooms. The rooftop bar is absolutely beautiful. Location is in a premium spot, but it is exceptionally busy around the hotel. We were awoken all through the night, multiple nights in a row by delivery trucks parked right outside our room. The hotel staff was very good about moving us to a different room after the first night. The second room was just as noisy. I have never, ever, stayed in a hotel that was as noisy as this one. I am not referring to other guests making noise in the hallway. This would be normal, and expected. There are better value hotels, within a few minutes walk of this location that would be a better option for your money. We spent top dollar to stay at this hotel and feel we overpaid.
