What a place. Location amazing, a few min from the station where you can get anywhere You can also walk to the cultural center two block down towards the sea. The view from bothnrooftoo and bath house are outstanding. Also really recommend their breakfastz with a lot of local specialities. Currently if you book your stay in their official website you also get an open bar self service from 14h to 22:30 with everything you can imagine and more (like local licorice and sakes). If you manage to get a room in a high floor you can can see the whole city from your bathtub. Last but definitely not least is the staff, willing to helpz always smiling and willing to push an extra mile to make your stay there be the best in your holiday. When I am back to beppu I will be there to create more unforgettable memories.

Good location with rooftop pool and onsen on the floor below with nice views. The onsen gets a bit crowded at night and is closed between 10 and 3pm for cleaning. The gym is open 24 hours like most hotels didn't really have much beyond the standard cardio equipment. Some more pin loaded weight machines would help as there is plenty of space but only minimal equipment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. During certain hours there are free drinks and for extra cost you can have free flow alcohol at night. Rooms were comfortable and good size wise. It would be nice if they had towels in the onsen or extra towels. The breakfast buffet was good, the cold noodles and tempura chicken were local specials that were pretty good. The only problem is had with the breakfast was almost everything that was cooked i.e. curry, pasta with meat sauce, stew, even the bacon and sausages all had milk in them. I appreciate the clear labelling for those who are allergic but most of these things would never have dairy in them normally and it narrowed the choices down significantly for any of the cooked foods other than tempura.

Modern Comfort with Thoughtful Touches—A Beppu Gem This hotel was a highlight of my stay in Beppu. It’s beautifully designed—clean, modern, and incredibly well thought out. The rooftop pool area is stunning, with a heated pool, cold plunge, and hot tub that feel serene (at 9a right before cleaning!). While the onsen was a bit crowded in the evenings (including a few kids), the overall experience was still impressive. One of the main reasons I booked this place was the gym, and although it was just one simple room it felt and spacious and well-equipped enough with a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, weight machine, yoga mats, and dumbbells—perfect for staying active while traveling. The hotel clearly caters to Western travelers with professional staff who helped me make a reservation over the phone and made everything seamless. I loved the thoughtful extras: a yukata and belt for your stay, plus a jelly-style bag to carry to the pool and onsen. Location is unbeatable—just a 5-minute walk to the train station, bus stop, and a nearby Lawson convenience store. You could easily spend the whole day here (though note the pool and onsen are closed for cleaning from 10am to 3pm). I didn’t try the breakfast or evening drinks, but the dining area looked spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Beppu. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and style.

I just returned from an unforgettable stay at Amanek Beppu Yula Re and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional Japanese hospitality. This is hands-down one of the best hotels we’ve ever experienced for a romantic getaway.The onsen is absolutely amazing. The natural hot springs are incredibly soothing, with beautiful bathing areas that offer both indoor and outdoor options and a great view from the window. I spent hours relaxing in the mineral-rich waters, feeling completely rejuvenated. Paired with the stunning infinity pool, which overlooks the city and mountains, it created some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever enjoyed. Watching the night view from the pool and the hot tub was pure magic. There’s also a bar besides the pool The location is unbeatable. Everything is walkable — restaurants, shops, attractions, and scenic spots are all right at your doorstep. We were also just a short stroll from the bus and train stations, making day trips effortless. No need for complicated transfers, which made exploring Beppu feel seamless and stress-free.The free welcome drinks were a lovely touch — beautifully presented and the perfect way to unwind after traveling. The common areas are super inviting and stylish, making them an ideal spot to hang out in the evenings. We loved curling up with a book or just chatting while taking in the ambiance. This hotel is genuinely romantic — perfect for couples looking for intimate dates, whether it’s a quiet evening by the pool, a stroll through the neighborhood, or simply enjoying each other’s company in such a serene setting.The staff were attentive without being intrusive, the rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, and every detail felt thoughtfully designed. Amanek Beppu Yula Re has raised the bar for what a memorable stay should be. If you’re visiting Beppu, especially for a romantic escape, do yourself a favor and book here. The hotel is very close to the train station, so the location is excellent. The facilities are great, and there are complimentary drinks available on the first floor. The public bath was also very nice. Our room had a beautiful ocean view, and it was clean, comfortable, and pleasant to stay in. However, we accidentally left our power bank in the room after checking out. When we returned to the hotel that afternoon and asked the front desk about it, the staff simply said they hadn’t seen it. It felt like they were not willing to check the room or make any effort to help us look for it, which was disappointing.

Hotel Amanek Beppu Yula Rae is a great hotel in a very strategic location, close to Beppu Station and surrounded by many convenience stores. The hotel also has a full onsen with hot baths and a cool plunge pool, plus a rooftop pool and sauna. The view from the hotel windows is amazing too. The service was excellent, especially from Mr. Tenjin. We bothered him several times, but he was always friendly and helpful with all our questions and requests. We only had breakfast once before heading to the station, and it was great as well. Thank you, Amanek Hotel Beppu Yula Rae, and thank you to Beppu City for making our trip full of beautiful memories.

Great relaxing and restorative stay in this hotel for 2 nights. We took advantage of the hotel onsen and massages at Tamayura in the salon. Everything was excellent including the hotel breakfast. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and I loved the yukata as well as the hotel cotton Japanese pajamas. Do not miss going to Yuyamo No Sato Onsen in an old bamboo forest if you love Onsen. The hotel staff can call you a taxi and the sweet lady at the Onsen can order you a taxi back. It is about 3500 yen and 20 minutes ride each way, but worth it since admission to the Onsen is only 900 yen and you can stay as long as you want (but leave before it gets dark because you have to walk a bit through the bamboo grove to get to the pools and there are no lights on the trail). The taxi drivers wear cute old style taxi driver hats. Bring your hotel water bottle, onsen basket with towel, snacks if you plan to stay long (you can even bring eggs and veggies to cook in the spring heated pot if you’re really ambitious), and swimsuit (or if you don’t have a swimsuit you can buy a disposable one at the Onsen for only 200 yen). Maybe bring some mosquito repellent since you are out in nature, but it is absolutely beautiful with the pools next to a rushing waterfall and the natural mud pool leaves your skin so soft and the mud can be put on your skin like a mask. If you’re afraid to see possibly a small frog, dragonflies and possibly even a small snake (who just passes through), don’t go. Maybe there is a bus to get there cheaper, but we wanted the convenience of the taxi.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our month long trip through Japan. Very nice hotel with friendly staff who show that they are proud of their hotel and want people to enjoy their stay. Great selection for breakfast. Excellent rooms with very comfortable beds. I attended a hour long bamboo crafting event which I enjoyed very much and made my own japanese bamboo style Suzu. Definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay. Its in a great location close to Beppu Station.
