We came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a truly memorable escape. Located about a 1.5-hour drive from Fukuoka Airport, this spa hotel sits quietly on a hillside in Beppu, offering breathtaking views of the mountains, seaside, and town below. Arriving around noon, we were immediately drawn to the serene setting and expansive scenery from both the room and pool area. We spent most of our time enjoying the onsen facilities, which were exceptional especially the outdoor baths, perfect for the cool April weather. The infinity pool looked stunning, though it was a little too cold to fully enjoy at this time of year. The experience was seamless from the start, with complimentary parking, luggage handling, and delivery straight to our room. The room itself was beautifully appointed, and the bathroom even featured a private spa tub - perfect for unwinding in privacy. Throughout the stay, we enjoyed the thoughtful inclusions: breakfast, tea time, and happy hour, all of which were well executed. We chose to dine at the club lounge, where dishes were freshly prepared on the spot, adding a personal and elevated touch to the experience. It truly felt like a king and queen’s retreat - luxurious, relaxing, and indulgent in every sense. While it’s not inexpensive, it’s absolutely worth it for a special occasion or a relaxing getaway in Beppu.

I have had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. They are always smiling. The facilities are new. Room is spacious and comfortable with full amenities. Club access offers great down time from the traveling outside. The breakfast offer could have been better, but in general the food is good. On-site restaurants and bar are excellent.

l had a wonderful Spanish buffet at Element Restaurant last week; I was deeply impressed by the excellent service and high-quality food—especially the lamb, which tasted amazing!! Special thanks to Mr. Kuroki for fantastic drinks, and Mr. Shuto Eto for exceptional service. In addition, Chef Shimizu and Mr. Genki are both very friendly, and their culinary skills are excellent. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The property itself is stunning, and the views are absolutely spectacular. We stayed in a king room with a private onsen, and it was well worth it—especially after returning exhausted from a full day of sightseeing. Being able to relax in the onsen in the comfort of our room was a highlight of our stay. Everything was impeccable, and the level of service exceeded our expectations. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience. While the hotel is certainly an investment, it was worth every penny. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Absolutely amazing stay at ANA InterContinental Beppu! Everything was incredible ,the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the food. The onsen experience was so relaxing and truly one of the best parts of our trip. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful and spotless. Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I loved every moment and can’t wait to come back!”

Stayed here for a whole week with some friends and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. The rooms are beautiful, the views over Beppu are insane, and we spent so much time chilling by the pool. But you HAVE to try the thermal hot springs (onsen) here. The big open-air (male and female) one is incredible with the mountain views, and we also booked the private family onsen which was amazing for our group. Food-wise, the Japanese restaurant was so delicate (do the tea pairing!), but the French restaurant completely blew us away. The Wagyu beef with the wine pairing was literally from another world. Pricey but 100% worth it.

A wonderful 4-day family trip! Our rooms had a beautiful view of Mt. Tsurumi. The property sits on a hill, surrounded by peaceful nature. A big thank you to Tatsuki-san for such a warm welcome. We loved the club, onsen, restaurant, and gym…… see you next time!"

Incredibly welcoming and thorough hospitality team. We arrived earlier than expected and they handled it with no issue whatsoever. On top of great people working at the hotel, the food and view are unbeatable. I have been fortunate enough to travel to places all over the world, and the view from the hotel room with the mountains, ocean, city, and billowing steam of numerous onsen make this location very special. Lastly, the food. Breakfast was very well done and even with the wide variety, all was tasty and fresh. I also celebrated my birthday with a masterful omakase course featuring kabosu and wasabi made by Chef Miyoshi at Musui. I'll put it this way, I generally have a western pallete, and do not have the opportunity to eat much fresh seafood, his skill made eating a small fish whole, head, fins, and all, not only tolerable, but enjoyable. We were also able to have a nice conversation afterwards which always makes the meal feel more special. Thank you to everyone at the hotel who made this such a special birthday!
