The rooms were spacious, but they do not provide amenities in the rooms. Bath towels are only available near the public baths. They provide free desserts from 3-5pm. The quality of the food at dinner was ok. One of the outdoor public baths was very spacious. The public areas of the hotel felt a little old but well maintained. It is a 10 min walk from the station so it was very accessible

Staying in this hotel is like going back to the 90s. Everything looks old but not in a bad way. What made my stay most memorable was the staff - excellent service with top notch hospitality. I remember there was a lady named 水谷. I could feel her warmth and sincerity from a mile away. Truly fantastic!

the central heat in the room was too much, had to open window a bit. free pudding and ice pops aren't really our cup of tea, but it was a great gesture. onsen was great experience, room is spacious for 4 of us. would come back to stay again. location is quiet and convenient. garden was beautiful

Loved this traditional hotel! We stayed in a traditional room. The staff sets up and takes down the room morning and night. The futons were very comfortable. The onsite onsen was also lovely and the staff was understanding for those of us who hadn't experienced that before. They have a lovely lounge area and a good breakfast buffet. It was a treat to stay here. We also were able to arrange for 7 of us to get massages- the staff was very accomodating!

Hotel where you are welcomed from the start. We were greeted at the entrance as they were already expecting us. Check in was a breeze and our luggage’s were immediately brought to our rooms by the friendly staff. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. We had ordered dinner with our stay and they fed us really well with a multi-course kaiseki meal. The car park was spacious with enough room for all car sizes. We enjoyed both indoor and outdoor onsen very much. Will definitely return to the hotel.

The free afternoon tea everyday is a big plus. It's also close to the station, walk 5-8mins only. A Lawson is within 5 mins.Hotel is classy and clean.

The hotel is excellent in general. First of all, the location of the hotel is good with less than 10 minutes walk to Beppu station, there is also bus stations in front and opposite to the hotel with easy access to attractions such as Umi Jigoku, Yufuin, and Beppu Global tower. The room is clean and tidy with great views, though we are not super fans for hot spa, we enjoy it very much, yet we love the bigger pool. The hotel staff are great too, they ran out to help us to carry the luggage’s when we arrived, they also came out to collect our umbrella when we backed to the hotel as well. Finally, their breakfast is one of the best I have ever had in Japan with much variety of Oita local cuisines, while the view of the restaurant is scenic.
