Response from the property
Dear Aaishah, We thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are delighted that you found our hotel beautiful and that your overall experience was a positive one. However, we are sincerely sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Our minibar comes with a selection of paid beverages, though we do offer a complimentary non-alcoholic drink to all our Thon members. We regret that our reception team did not address your concern with the care it deserved, and we will certainly take your feedback into account. Nonetheless, we hope you were able to enjoy our central yet peaceful location, just a short walk from the city centre and the European district. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards, Stanhope Management Team

Dear Ivana, Thank you for writing a review of your recent visit and for recommending our hotel. It’s wonderful to hear you had such a positive experience during your recent stay with us. We’re delighted you found your room comfortable and enjoyed the in-room coffee. Our team takes great pride in providing attentive service, so it’s rewarding to know their efforts made your visit special. The hotel has its own Restaurant and two bars, including the Lobby bar and a Library Bar, perfect for a meal or a nightcap without going far. The city center is about a 16-minute walk, where the Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert and the area around Grand Place have many cafés and restaurants serving Belgian classics like mussels and fries. You can also join a Brussels Food Tour with Full Meal & Drinks to taste local specialties with a guide.
The Stanhope Hotel sits on Rue du Commerce near Brussels' European Quarter, a polished district of offices, embassies, and leafy streets. You're a short walk from Metro Trone and Porte de Namur, plus the Royal Palace and Parc de Bruxelles, making the area feel both central and calm. The hotel's own restaurant and lobby bar are handy for meals, and Pharmacie Du Quartier Léopold and Delitraiteur are steps away. For more atmosphere, the historic center with Grand Place is a pleasant 16-minute walk, giving you a mix of quiet and classic sights without leaving the neighborhood.
From Brussels Airport (BRU), the hotel is about 12 km away; a taxi or ride-hailing service will bring you directly to Rue du Commerce 9. From Brussels-Midi/Zuid main station, take the metro to Trone, which is 100 m from the hotel. The Trone station also has a bus stop right there, giving you another option from the station. If you arrive at Brussels-Luxembourg train station, it is a 500 m walk or a short taxi hop. The hotel is well connected to the airport and both main stations.
In the evening you can start with a drink at the hotel's own bar or the cosy Library Bar, both right on site. For a stroll, Parc de Bruxelles is a 7-minute walk, and the Koningsplein statue is 8 minutes away. The Grand Place, at 16 minutes on foot, is a lively square with cafés and bars around it, as are nearby Jeanneke Pis and Manneken Pis, about 17 minutes away. These sights are well worth seeing after dark, and the short walks make it easy to return to the hotel whenever you like. From the hotel it's a simple, pleasant walk to enjoy the evening atmosphere of central Brussels.
Yes, the Stanhope Hotel is a great base for exploring Brussels, with most major sights a short stroll away. The Royal Palace is just a 5 minute walk, Parc de Bruxelles 7 minutes, and Koningsplein 8 minutes. The Grand Place, Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert, and Brussels City Museum are each a 16 minute walk, while Manneken Pis and Jeanneke Pis take 17 minutes. Two metro stations, Trone and Porte de Namur, sit nearby for going further afield. You can comfortably set out on foot each day and return easily for a break.
