Right in the heart of Byron Bay on the beachfront, We stayed in the penthouse with my family. Friendly staff, clean rooms and an exceptional view waking up to the waves. Very convenient location near all the shops. Yes, it is slightly noisy as you are right on top of all the bars and restaurants, just what we wanted. They also have a car park for you to park your Car in, with a locked gate to know that it’s safe during the night Thank you Bay Motel! We will be returning!

We were given room 11 upon check in. Around the back in a dark hole. It was smelly and seemed dirty and in desperate need of painting and care. We complained immediately as it was nothing like the pictures on the booking sites. We were moved to room 10 (for an added charge) this room was much more like the pictures. The location and free parking were great but I certainly wouldn't rush back. It was very noisy location too.

This is the worst place we have stayed in Australia. Run down- bathroom is so in need of renovation. Room11 so noisy from the bars at the back. There was a vacant room which was quieter available BUT because we booked through Booking.com they were reluctant to move us. We booked this room months ago. Would not recommend this motel to any one. We have travelled in Aussie for the last month and stayed in amazing places- BuT not this one. LOVE BYRON BAY BUT DO NOT STAY AT BYRON MOTEL

I booked this motel after 5-10min of booking they send me message that reception will he closed (nothing mentioned on booking website)so you have to check in by your self. With in 5min getting message i ask to cancel my booking and refund me but they did not refund the money.

If you want to try the "Homeless experience" this is the place you were looking for.. The feeling is like sleeping directly on the street. No acoustic isolation at all, and that will be ok in a country area, but here friends you have a disco at 10m, bin trucks every two hours and of course drunk people giving their best! We booked 2 nights and left after the first one. I would have avoided this commentary if the greedy manager accepted my request for the second night refund, didn't happened.. The smart solution was offering us to move to another room 10m away from the first one, that certainly solve it all! Yes location seems great on the map, but as hotel you should consider the side effects.. Shame!

Nice rooms and the hotel was in a great location but the noise late at night from a bar/night club was too much and made our stay in enjoyable. Don't stay here if you value peace and quiet at night.

We stayed for one night only, but the motel is located in a very good area, close to the beach, shops, bars and cafes. Parking was free, the room was clean a spacious which was very practical. The receptionist was welcoming and informative. We would recommend this motel to any travelling families.
