A clean, quiet, and modern hotel with an excellent location close to Colmar’s pedestrian area. Overall, an excellent stay. We especially appreciated that the hotel provided three types of complimentary water—sparkling, chilled still, and room-temperature still. It was both environmentally friendly and very convenient. The breakfast was very good, and we appreciated that it began at 6:30 a.m., which is ideal for early risers. Our room was comfortable, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Colmar. The hotel also has an underground parking garage for €20 per night. This is a typical rate for Europe, especially in a historic city like Colmar, and having secure parking was a real convenience.

The hotel is in the center of Colmar, so very close to lots of shops, restaurants, and supermarket. Room is nice and clean, modern, decent size. I like that the hotel also had a decent gym, next to a sauna. Hotel also offer water dispenser that serves sparkling, room temp, or cold water of your choice. Highly recommend

Friendly greeting at reception with all relevant information given. Parking garage well-lit and secure with good-sized spaces. Bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk in the pedestrian area. Breakfast was reasonable with good quality ingredients, but coffee experience (from machine) was not of high standard.

To be fair, from the outside I didn’t expect too much of this hotel. But once inside, being helped by the friendly staff and experiencing the room, my opinion changed. No complaints whatsoever. Do keep in mind that the elevator is a bit small. Breakfast wasn’t the most luxurious, but it did have plenty of options. The hotel is also very conveniently located just outside the center of Colmar.

We booked the junior suite. I loved the layout. My kid felt like he had his own room without being completely shut off from us. The rooms share a wall, and there is a cut-out that allows you to see around into the other room, as well as a sliding door. Not that we watched much tv, but each room has its own tv. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower. There were complimentary drinks and cookies. They have filtered water available 24/7 so you don’t have to buy any. The mattress was firm, but I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe that’s a cultural thing, because we stayed in several hotels and they were all firm. This place had the most comfortable pillows though. There is air conditioning, although by the time I figured out how to use it, our stay was almost over. Some signage would be helpful. Luckily the weather wasn’t hot while we were there, so I didn’t deem it important enough to ask the front desk. This hotel was the quietest one we had on our trip. Once the door was shut, all noise was blocked out, even with our room being right next to the elevator. My only real complaint is that the shower only has a half-wall so you have to carefully aim the shower head to not flood the floor. Breakfast had a variety of items. Crepes, pastries, lunch meats, cheeses, yogurts, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, etc. I was a little bit worried about this hotel not being as close to the Old Town as we’d liked, but it was great. The “old town” actually extends out farther than what it shows on the map, so within just a few minutes’ walk, you’re already enjoying the scenery. It is however a 20 minute walk from the train station. We didn’t look into the bus system. The parking garage was narrow, as is typical for European parking garages, but it served its purpose. We could enter the hotel from the garage without having to go outside. There’s a monoprix just a minute from the hotel if you need groceries or reasonably priced clothes. If you have a kid that just needs an easy meal after being dragged around to fancy restaurants all day, there’s a hot dog place and a subway across the street. There’s also a Harry Potter store that hosts the occasional game night.

Hotel has just been renovated. The location is good albeit on the outskirts of the town but this isn’t a problem. The main issue for me was the lack of temperature control and the extremely uncomfortable bedding. I barely slept for 3 nights we were there. The pillows may as well not be pillows. I don’t understand how a hotel cannot invest in their bedding - at this kind of hotel it’s the only thing guests care about. The breakfast was just ok. The best thing was the free water dispenser. I would pay slightly more next time to stay somewhere better.

Last minute booking at the Mercure hotel in Colmar; we were apprehensive about the cost,room and location… our stay was competitively priced, fabulous service, really comfortable and clean room,fantastic breakfast but most of all the staff were kind and helpful! We’ve never been to a Mercure hotel before but we will definitely seek them out because of our experience here. Oh , and they had a lovely bar too!

Not much options close to the Colmar Center; the Mercure is a good compromise if u can bear with tiny rooms. Their under ground parking is convenient, but tight; if u be careful, it’s fine even with a large Suv. Wifi is working. Their 1st floor has rooms with shower only (no bath tub).
