Vahan Terian statue
Tucked into the leafy curve of Yerevan's Circular Park, the Vahan Terian Statue honours one of Armenia's most beloved lyric poets. Carved from a single block of grey basalt, the figure shows Terian seated, head inclining toward his shoulder, a book cradled in his hand — a quiet, brooding portrait that matches the melancholy music of his verse. Unveiled in 2000 on the 115th anniversary of the poet's birth, the monument stands on the section of the green ring adjoining the street that bears his name, making it an easy and rewarding stop on a walk through central Yerevan's literary quarter.
