Spanish Point Park
Spanish Point Park is a small waterfront country park tucked around Stovell Bay on the northern edge of Pembroke Parish, Bermuda. It is the one public spot on Spanish Point Road where the sea is visible straight from the roadside—a peaceful place for picnics, swimming, and watching fishing boats and dinghies bob in the bay. The park is also home to the rusting remains of the former HMS Bermuda floating dock, an unusual monument to the island's naval past. The park's beaches have been open for public swimming since 1953, and locals still call it a favorite for family barbecues and quiet retreats. Its setting at the mouth of the Great Sound gives it a character quite different from Bermuda's better-known south-shore beaches.
