Boka Tabla
Boka Tabla is a wave-carved sea cave on Curaçao's wild north coast, where the Atlantic thunders through a rock arch into an underground cavern you can actually walk into. Set at the gateway of Shete Boka National Park near the village of Westpunt, it turns the island's familiar turquoise calm on its head: here, swell after swell crashes against coral limestone with a roar you feel in your chest. Steps cut into the rock lead you down into the mouth of the cavern, where a railed wooden platform lets you stand at the edge and watch the surf roll in. Along the limestone bluffs above, the view opens onto a rugged, roadless coastline that looks nothing like the resort side of the island — making Boka Tabla one of the most dramatic and accessible natural sights on Curaçao.
