Baekma River Bridge (Buyeo)
The Baekma River Bridge (백마강교) is a 725-metre road bridge that spans the broad, slow river flowing past Buyeo — the last capital of the ancient Baekje kingdom. Locals call this stretch of the Geum River the Baekma, meaning "the great river of Baekje," and the bridge carries the name as well. Completed in 2011 on Provincial Road 625, it connects Buyeo-eup's Jeongdong-ri on the east bank with Gwiam-myeon's Hoam-ri on the west, and is the main route for visitors driving in from the northwest toward the Baekje Cultural Land theme park. It is open 24 hours, free to cross, wheelchair accessible, and has dedicated sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists on both sides — which means the bridge itself is a legitimate stop, not just a way to get somewhere. In 2016 the county installed landscape lighting along the span, turning a utilitarian crossing into a quiet night-viewing spot over the river.
