Bouznika Beach
Bouznika Beach stretches along Morocco's Atlantic coast in a gently curving bay, roughly halfway between the buzz of Casablanca and the calm grandeur of Rabat. A long ribbon of fine golden sand shaded by turquoise water, it is one of the kingdom's most loved seaside spots—and one of its cleanest, repeatedly honoured with the international Blue Flag label for water quality and environmental management. This is a beach built for unhurried summer days: swimming, sunbathing, a round of beach volleyball, then charcoal-grilled fish eaten with your hands. What makes Bouznika special is its double identity. By day the main bay is a relaxed, family-friendly strand where lifeguards watch the shallows in high season and deckchairs and parasols rent by the dozen. By appetite it is a food stop with a reputation: Bouznika has long been celebrated as a 'capital of the grill', where roadside stands and seafront restaurants serve some of the best grilled meats and freshly landed seafood on the Rabat–Casablanca road. Around the beach, a modest old kasbah, a national horse stud and a seaside golf course give the visit more texture than the sand alone suggests.
