Jebel n' Tirfar
Jebel n' Tirfar is a modest peak rising to 1,842 metres in Morocco's Sous-Massa-Draa region, part of the ancient Anti-Atlas range that stretches across southern Morocco. Far from the well-trodden trekking routes of the High Atlas, this is a landscape of open granite plateaus, sparse Berber settlements, and sweeping desert-edge horizons — the kind of terrain that rewards the curious wanderer rather than the checklist summiter. The peak itself has no recorded ascents or published route information, making it a genuine blank space on the trekking map. Its value lies less in a destination summit and more in what getting there involves: crossing the wide, quiet Anti-Atlas on foot or by four-wheel drive, passing through valleys where almond trees bloom in February and the light on bare rock is extraordinary.
