Dargha Hazrat Syed Dadan Shah Jahania r.a
Dargha Hazrat Syed Dadan Shah Jahania is the resting place of a beloved Sufi saint who lived to the remarkable age of 100 and served as the 11th spiritual custodian of the Jahaniyan lineage in Sindh. Located in the colony that bears his name in Hyderabad, the shrine remains a living center of devotion, drawing followers who seek blessings from a man renowned for his generosity, piety, and reported miracles. What makes this dargah especially significant is its connection to one of South Asia's great Sufi dynasties. Syed Dadan Shah traced his spiritual ancestry back to Makhdoom Jalaluddin Bukhari, better known as Jahaniyan Jahangasht — the "World-Pervading Lord of the Age" — whose Suhrawardi order spread from Uch Sharif across Sindh, Gujarat, and the wider subcontinent over six centuries. The shrine thus sits within a vast web of Jahaniyanpota saintly sites that define the mystical landscape of lower Sindh.
