Wat Sa-at Pho Chai
Wat Sa-at Pho Chai is a small, long-established village temple in the rural heart of Sam Chai District, Kalasin Province. Registered in 1921 and belonging to the Mahanikaya order, it serves the farming community of Samran Tai subdistrict as a place of daily merit-making, Buddhist observance, and village gathering. There is no tourist apparatus here — no ticket, no guidebook entry, no curated heritage site. What you find instead is a living Thai temple as most Thais know it: a compound in the middle of rice country where monks chant at dawn, villagers bring sticky rice and flowers, and the Buddha image at the front of the ubosot has been the focus of local faith for over a century.
