I like new hotels as much as the next guy, but I'd always prefer a historic place in the center of town, particularly one as comfortable and friendly as this one. Jenna and Nicola were so helpful, and the building itself is a work of art.

It genuinely reflects the local style, with a strong historical charge. Rooms are not modern, but comfortable enough, quiet, and with air conditioning. Location is unbeatable, the most central and interesting, with some places to park! (parking is a huge problem inside Évora). Living rooms are super cozy, terrace has awesome views. Service is professional and friendly.

Great location to explore Lamego…Obrigada Patricia for excellent service. Breakfast was included, you have to order eggs at no extra charge.

This is an old stately manor. As such they have to keep it as it was. So no elevators, swimming pool or phones in rooms. We felt like royalty and were treated with great consideration by the staff. There are all the art and furniture from the past. The beds are comfortable and the location is ideal . The breakfast is very adequate and they made modifications for us being vegan. So if you want atmosphere and service stay here. This will give you a true Portuguese experience. It is very clean. And the prices are very reasonable.

Charming hotel but not without issues. When we first checked into the room, the AC was leaking so badly there was literally a flood on the floor. Unfortunately they could not switch us to another room until the next day. All night we were subjected to the dripping noises of the water. The next day, we were switched to another room. However, eventually the AC in that room also started to drip too. It seems this is a natural phenomena here for this hotel. If you book here, be ready for small spaces and water dripping from the AC. Location is good as it it quite central in Evora.

Beautiful historic building in a perfect location walking distance from everything. Public rooms have more charm than the rooms. Beds were comfy, heating/ac worked well and decent water pressure in shower A nice terrace too. Desk staff sometimes absent when we needed our key

The hotel itself is fine. Very pretty and staff were good.|Please never book to stay on a Friday or Saturday. None of us could sleep till 6:30 am. A nearby disco kept us all awake with the absurdly loud music.|It is criminal these people do not disclose this on the website. |Worst night ever in a hotel

The hotel is located right in city centre. It is in fact a historic site in itself with its own history. The amenities are good. The staff are friendly with good command of English. She told us the history of the hotel and helped us out with bookings. The breakfast is good and value for money set in a beautiful dining room. There is really nothing to complain about.
