Room 233, located in a quiet corner on the front of the second floor is modern, and equipped with the basics. It features two comfortable twin beds arranged side-by-side, though they maintain a small gap and are made with separate comforters. The staff are helpful, though the breakfast buffet is average. Its location is excellent—only a 5-minute walk to both the train/bus station, Rewe grocery store and the historic old town.

The first thing you see when you enter the lobby is a beautiful mosaic picture of Neuschwanstein on the floor. The lobby area is a good size with seating space. All of the receptionists were friendly and helpful. There are elevators, but several times I took the stairs. The entrance to the staircase is a large glass door and the steps are made of beautiful marble. The room itself seems to have been renovated as the rooms were in great condition, as if new. The room was a good size and the bathroom was actually quite large. My only complaint is that it would have been good to have more counter or shelf space around the sink area to place toiletries. I used the bottom drawer for that purpose and just put some tissues down to not create a water stain, for example. The breakfast buffet was quite good with a good variety of hot and cold choices. There is an underground, gated, parking garage for 9 euros a night. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5–7-minute walk from the train station and a 5-minute walk to the main shopping/restaurant area. I think this is the best Best Western I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot around the world. I would definitely stay here again.

The room and toilet is decent size. Clean and good location. Considered Fussen town is small so this hotel is great. Walking distance to the town.

We were in Fussen for three days and stayed at the Best Western. From the moment we checked in till we checked out, it was a great experience. The hotel staff were very helpful and fun, they give you a Fussen Pass so all public transportation is free, and they gave us great recommendations. The rooms were a little bigger than typical European hotel rooms, clean, great water pressure, and had a fully stocked mini bar. We’ll recommend the Best Western to anyone coming to Fussen.

We stayed here just for a quick stopover, and had a good rest here. It was clean and I loved that they had everything that you could need. If you’re driving here, just a note that you should check in first so that you can get a key card to the carpark provided! We checked in pretty late, about 10pm and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself is perfectly fine - we had a pleasant two night stay. It’s an easy five minute walk to the old town, the rooms are clean, and there is ample underground parking. However, our entire stay was soured by our checkout experience. The hotel seems to be running a dynamic currency conversion scam. We paid by credit card and were forced to pay in USD, accompanied by a hefty 6.89% markup fee. The receipt suggests we were given a choice - if by “choice” they mean the payment machine flashed the option of EUR or USD for five seconds, before proceeding to automatically charge us in USD. When we brought up the issue with the receptionist (who then escalated to a manager), we were given the following excuses:|- We were actually charged $30 EUR (when the receipt clearly indicated $37.38 USD). |- $30 EUR converts to $37.38 USD (when the receipt clearly indicated a 6.89% markup fee). |- We must have selected USD on the payment machine (untrue, as we did not have time to make a selection). |- The machine doesn’t give the option to pay in EUR for foreign cards (hence, a scam). We asked to be refunded for the credit card transaction and to pay in cash instead. Surprise surprise, we were refunded directly in EUR with no markup fee returned. When we pointed out this discrepancy to the receptionist, she simply shrugged her shoulders. Luckily, our stay was prepaid in advance, so we were only paying for parking and city tax at checkout - a few dollars lost. If we had been paying for our entire room rate, it would have been a not insignificant markup. The staff we encountered at checkout could be described as indifferent at best, a far cry from the friendly gentleman who helped us at check-in. Cannot recommend this hotel until they fix their currency conversion issue.

Like most Best Westerns it is modern, clean, and well designed. A good location in the town. But what “makes” a hotel are the people and Reba is an exemplary example of how it’s done, absolute customer service. Welcoming (we were tired having biked some distance in the heat), helpful and informative spending the extra time to assist us find our way (buses, Neuschwanstein, etc). Well done.

An excellent location for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The hotel features a convenient underground parking garage and offers both efficient and friendly service. The room was spacious, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a very restful night’s sleep. Additionally, the breakfast was plentiful, offering a wide selection of high-quality food and excellent coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
