You can walk to Gustico, a street food spot about 5 minutes away, or try Alviz, roughly 650 meters from the hostel. Lungo Mare, serving healthy dishes, is just 200 meters away, and Malu' is about 190 meters. For a quick bite, Big Bang fast food is 380 meters from the door. The hostel also has a shared kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals.
You are right in Hvar town, just a short walk from the main harbor and the Carpe Diem bar, with the Španjola Fortress a 10-minute walk away and Bonj Beach 13 minutes on foot. The streets around the hostel are lively, with a supermarket and a restaurant about 100 meters away, plus spots like Gustico and Lungo Mare nearby. The area is uphill from the harbor, giving you views over the town and sea. For quieter beaches like Plaža Malo Zaraće or Dubovica, you will need a scooter or car, as they are several kilometers out. It is a convenient, central spot for exploring Hvar town on foot.
From Split Airport, take a bus to Split and then a ferry to Hvar town; the trip takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at Hvar's catamaran dock, walk right along the shore, pass the pebble beach by the Monastery, and climb the 8 steps. Head up to Domovinskog rata street, where you'll see the hostel on the right, marked by a scooter rental sign. If you're coming by car from Stari Grad or Sućuraj, follow signs to Hvar town, turn left at the first big crossroad, and after 200 meters you'll see the hostel at the next crossroad. The hostel offers free pickup from the bus station in Hvar town.
In the evening, you can walk 10 minutes to Španjola Fortress for a view over Hvar, or head 13 minutes to Bonj Beach for a relaxed seaside stroll. The hostel is about 4 minutes from the city center, where you'll find the famous Carpe Diem bar and other spots like North Port Caffe Bar, Lungo Mare, and Buffet Pizzeria BEPO. For a livelier night, the hostel hosts a pub crawl every night, a great way to meet people and explore the town's bars. If you prefer a quieter evening, the nearby streets around the Franciscan Monastery are pleasant for a wander. You can also join one of the popular evening boat tours, like the Blue Cave & Vis Island speedboat tour, which often runs into the late afternoon and early evening.
Hostel Villa Zorana is a great base for exploring Hvar town on foot. The Španjola Fortress is a 10-minute walk away, and Bonj Beach is just 13 minutes from your door. For a day trip, Plaža Malo Zaraće is 5.4 km away and Plaža Dubovica is 7.6 km, so you will need a scooter, car, or taxi to reach those. The hostel is also close to the town center, making it easy to start your day and return between adventures. From here, you can easily join the popular boat tours to the Blue Cave and Pakleni Islands, which depart from the harbor nearby.
