Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Istanbul was excellent. A special thank you to Rein from Housekeeping, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference. We would also like to thank Davut from the Abre Bar for his outstanding hospitality in the evenings. He looked after us exceptionally well and made every visit to the bar a pleasure. Both team members contributed greatly to a memorable stay, and we are very grateful for their excellent service.

Perfect place to stay, central to everything. Building is beautifully fitted out & all staff were great. Thanks to Dedo for organising the allblacks & springbok game, sadly Utube had a glitch so only saw first half. Thanks to the cleaning staff our room was always lovely and fresh to return to at the end of the day after exploring this stunning city.

Hotel location was excellent. Front desk was very good but needs to trained on few services when guest had already mentioned that they were travelling with kid. Room service can be improved a lot on, we needed to ask for small things again on call which could have been done at time of room makeover. Bathroom were not cleaned well and were requested to clean again. Also the reward system is inappropriate as booking done from third party partner of hotel do not not qualify for reward nights / points. If that the case the booking should done solely from hotel group website only.

A complete scam and terrible customer service.We booked a triple room through the IHG website, which gave us a great rate for a specific date. However, the hotel wasn't satisfied with that price. They chose to cancel our reservation in a completely rude and unprofessional manner—right at the moment we handed over our passports for check-in. As an 'alternative,' they demanded we pay exactly 8 times the original price!The attitude of the man at the front desk was appalling. We tried to explain that they had no right to cancel our booking without prior notice, especially since we had traveled all the way from another country, were completely exhausted, and had absolutely no issues with our payment card. They could have easily charged the card or let us pay on the spot. Instead, the hotel acted in a disgusting and cynical way.Come here only if you want to be treated like a literal sack of money, and even then, only strictly from the moment you check in until the moment you check out.

The hotel itself was honestly very good. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and respectful. Special thanks to the room service team for doing an excellent job. However, I have to seriously warn other guests about the barber inside the hotel. In my opinion, this is a complete tourist trap. I was told €15 for a beard trim and another €15 for face waxing, making it €30 in total. During the treatment, he then applied a coffee and orange facial mask without clearly explaining the extra cost beforehand. In the end, I was suddenly charged €75. The whole situation felt very dishonest and manipulative. Throughout the treatment, he kept repeating that he was “not doing this for tips,” but at the end he still asked for an additional tip. It creates unnecessary pressure and leaves a very bad impression. My advice to other guests: make sure every single service and price is clearly confirmed before the treatment starts. It’s honestly a shame, because this hotel truly deserved 5 stars from me. But because of this experience with the barber, I unfortunately have to remove one star. One person completely ruined what would otherwise have been a perfect experience.

A Wonderful First Experience in Istanbul We had a very pleasant experience staying at Crowne Plaza Hotel. As this was our first-ever visit to Istanbul, the hotel and its wonderful staff made our stay especially enjoyable and welcoming. I emailed the hotel for Airport Transport and they immediately arranged a VIP van for all our family which took us straight to the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the reception team were helpful and professional. Abdul Kadir was particularly helpful and informed us that, as IHG members, we were eligible for complimentary breakfast. This was a lovely welcome and a great start to our stay. The concierge team, Mustafa and Shafak, were fantastic throughout our stay. They helped us with our luggage and were always happy to assist with any additional requests we had. They genuinely went out of their way to make things easier for us. The hotel was also very accommodating to my disabled brother, who uses a wheelchair, by making entry and exit from the hotel as easy and convenient as possible for him. A special mention must also go to Esra and the breakfast team. They were exceptionally kind and welcoming every morning. They especially took a liking to our baby, Maryam, and would always greet us warmly, interact with her and make her feel welcome. Their friendliness really made breakfast a lovely part of our day. Our room cleaning was also excellent. Zeynep was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Overall, we had a very good experience at Crowne Star Hotel. The staff were genuinely caring, welcoming and helpful, and they played a big part in making our first visit to Istanbul so enjoyable. We would happily stay at the same hotel again on our next visit to Istanbul. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable!

We had a very pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza and overall really enjoyed our time here. A special thank you to Kadir and Murat at reception for being so friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay, and to Fatima at concierge for always being kind and very helpful with recommendations and assistance. Breakfast was also a highlight—great variety, fresh food, and very attentive and polite staff and servers every morning. There are, however, a few areas that need attention. On one occasion, the bell service asked us to move a few of our own bags, which wasn’t what we expected from a hotel of this standard. More importantly, the airport transfer service should be reviewed. The driver who picked us up from the airport spent much of the journey watching reels on his phone while driving, which was quite frightening. As it was our first time in Istanbul, we didn’t feel comfortable confronting him. The driver taking us back to the airport was courteous, but he was talking on his phone while driving, holding it to his ear instead of using a hands-free system. We hope the hotel looks into the drivers or the transfer company they work with, as guest safety should always come first. Overall, we had a very good stay, and the outstanding service from Kadir, Murat, Fatima, and the breakfast team is what we’ll remember most.

Our stay at Crown plaza hotel was very pleasant. The team are all amazing, very helpful and professional. The breakfast service team were very friendly and provided a great service. Can't remember everyone by name but Zumrut was one of the team who made it a pleasant experience. The cleaning service team were super. Cening who cleaned our room was just amazing, very polite, professional always had a smile and provided us with all we needed and nothing was ever too much for her. 5 star service!. The other ladies who I cant remember by name were great too. Thank you all for making our stay a great experience despite the room size!
