It is an economical and no-frills accommodation. Service was friendly and efficient. Checking in and out of hotel can be done via a machine; it can print and return keycard too. I booked the basic room. Room is a little small but doable for a couple of nights. Most rooms also come with a television, an air conditioner, a hairdryer, an empty refrigerator and a water boiler with complimentary green bags. Tea & coffee could be obtained at ground level along with facial items. Wireless internet access is commonly available for free in the rooms. Terrible experience at this hotel. Poor communication and service by hotel staff. Parking not available, and then when I asked for a manager, they told me there was no manager, and no business cards available. Parking reservations have to be made a month in advance, and only over the phone. Although I had called them directly to confirm a later check in than expected, they still called me asking about my check in time, as the staff had not communicated that. I stay at Toyoko Inns all over Japan. This was the worst service and experience I have had at a Toyoko Inn. I canceled my reservation right then! Don’t waste your time at this hotel.

You can see the hotel from Chigasaki Station. A bit of a walk, 8-10mins but there are elevators to help you with your luggage. Lots of restaurants every corner. Express check-in/out and the machine gives 2 keycards. Clean room and comfy beds. Our two XL luggage can easily be opened, you just have to be madiskarte and not maarte. Free breakfast is really good too which can be crowded at times but they do refill when needed. Safe to roam around at night as this is near the city hall I think. They change towels everyday. They have bath robes and amenities in the reception area. They even store our luggage safely before checkin. Cost-wise and convenience, this hotel option is way cheaper than in Yokohama or Kamakura, only a train ride away.

Really enjoyed my stay at Toyoko Inn Chigasaki. The room was surprisingly spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Location was super convenient, with easy access to the station and nearby supermarket. Breakfast was simple but genuinely tasty. We drove but didn't reserve parking ahead, had to park in the parking lot next door (1,000 yen for 24 hours). Overall, a great and reliable stay.

Very clean and well kept. The room was spacious and very accommodating. The mattress is pretty thin and hard and the pillows are pretty hard, but other than that the room was very comfortable. WiFi worked well and it was easy to sign into apps on the television. Easy walk from the Chigasaki station, less than 10 minutes.

Everything was clean, service is excellent and great central location. Bed was very hard, but otherwise rooms were great. Free breakfast has a good selection of options.

Nice short stay. Super clean and service was great. Free breakfast had a lot of offerings which we enjoyed. Very close to the station but far from the beach (30+ min walk). Could see Mt Fuji from our room so that was nice. Toyoko Inn hotel rooms are a little bigger than standard.

Response from the property

Room is OK，Clean but small as usual in Japan. But the experience for breakfast is so terrible. Run out of foods, people line up waiting for food. The worst thing I can not accept was running out of coffee around at 08:40 and no further supply, just said sorry… friendly. What is the difficulty to refill the coffee machine? No matter what the service time of coffee should be ended at 10:00 according to the post by hotel ! They do not keep promise!
