For a meal right at the inn, BAHATI Kitchen serves Okinawan, Balinese, and other island-inspired dishes, and Mash Cafe & Beer KAMAKURA offers craft beer, coffee, sandwiches, and sweets. Nearby, Kamakura Hase Coffee & Galette is a six-minute walk from Hase Station and serves galettes and coffee. MOKICHI KAMAKURA, a 12-minute walk from the station, has farm plates, pizza, and seasonal sake. m's terrace, five minutes from the station, offers buckwheat galettes and craft beer. THE CIRCUS KAMAKURA, one minute from the station, is a cafe with cheesecakes and light dishes. A Japanese sweets shop sits right in front of the inn, and nearby restaurants serve shirasu-don and kakigori.
The area around Wanderlust Inn is a peaceful, historic part of Kamakura, with the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in just a 3-minute walk away and Hase-dera a 4-minute stroll. You are also within a 10-minute walk of Gokuraku-ji and 12 minutes from Kamakura Seaside Park, so temples and the coast are close. The neighborhood has a relaxed, local feel, with small shops and eateries nearby, including a Japanese sweets shop right in front of the inn. Hase Station is about a 5-minute walk, making it easy to explore further. The hotel's own restaurant, BAHATI Kitchen, serves Okinawan and island-inspired dishes, and Mash Cafe & Beer KAMAKURA is on the first floor for coffee and craft beer.
From Kamakura Station, take the Enoden Line to Hase Station, a short ride, then it is a 5-minute walk to the inn. From Haneda Airport, take the Keikyu Line to Yokohama, then the JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station. In the evening, you can enjoy a craft beer and light bites at Mash Cafe & Beer KAMAKURA, right on the hotel's first floor, or try the exotic dishes at BAHATI Kitchen. For a short stroll, Kotoku-in and Hase-dera are just a few minutes away, and Yuigahama Beach is a 10-minute walk for a seaside evening. The area around Hase Station has cafes and bars, like m's terrace, which offers bar time. You can also join a Kamakura evening walking tour to explore the city's history after dark.
Wanderlust Inn is an excellent base for exploring Kamakura's highlights. Kotoku-in, home to the Great Buddha, is just a 3-minute walk away, and Hase-dera is a 4-minute stroll. Gokuraku-ji and Kamakura Seaside Park are also within a 10 to 12-minute walk. For the more distant Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu, a 2.3 km trip, you can take a short train ride from nearby Hase Station or a taxi.
