We had an amazing stay at Mountbatten Bungalow! The place was so peaceful, and the food was absolutely amazing. The entire team was incredibly warm, welcoming, and caring. They went above and beyond to accommodate every request and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Their genuine smiles and exceptional hospitality made us feel truly cared for. A beautiful experience we’ll always remember! ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Mountbatten Bungalow. The antique-style interior gives the property a unique charm and a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was very tasty, well presented, and nicely arranged. The rooms and washrooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable throughout our stay. The garden was beautifully maintained and added to the peaceful environment of the bungalow. A special mention to the staff for being very supportive, friendly, and attentive. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a calm and elegant place to stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2026 with my wife. This was by far the best accommodation that we stayed in whilst holidaying in Sri Lanka. The location in the hills above Kandy was fantastic. Great views from the infinity swimming pool and terrace of the hills|across the valley. We walked down into Kandy on our first morning. All downhill taking about an hour, perfectly doable for the fit and active. The Bungalow itself was charming and historic. Room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom with separate shower and roll top bath. Drinks were reasonably priced and we couldn’t fault any of the meals that we ate in the restaurant. The best bit by far however was the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to make us feel valued and at home. They struck the perfect balance between being attentive but not intrusive. Really could not have wished for better hosts, they were fantastic. If and when I return to Sri Lanka I will definitely return to the Mountbatten Bungalow.

Mountbatten is a beautiful place to stay. The bungalows are tastefully designed, very comfortable, and equipped with great attention to detail. We especially appreciated the high-quality amenities, such as the soaps and body lotions, and the peaceful atmosphere of the property. The food was very good and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that we were asked to pre-select our meals in advance, including breakfast the evening before. We would have preferred a little more flexibility. In addition, there were some maintenance works near our bungalow in the morning, which slightly disturbed the otherwise tranquil setting. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Mountbatten to other travelers visiting Sri Lanka.

Our stay at Mountbatten Bungalow in Kandy was truly unforgettable and one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. This historic bungalow perfectly captures the charm and elegance of the colonial era. Staying here felt like stepping back in time while enjoying every modern comfort. Surrounded by lush nature, the property offers a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere with breathtaking views over the city of Kandy. One of the most unforgettable moments of our stay was the sunset. It was, without a doubt, the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen in our lives. The entire staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive. A special thank you goes to the hotel manager, Haset, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. His genuine hospitality and dedication made us feel truly valued. The food was another highlight. We enjoyed an outstanding four-course dinner that was of true five stars quality. The breakfast was equally impressive, offering a luxurious selection of fresh and delicious dishes. The infinity pool overlooking the city is absolutely spectacular and one of the highlights of the property. We also loved strolling through the beautifully maintained garden, where we were able to observe exotic birds in their natural surroundings. If you are looking for a unique place that combines history, luxury, nature, and exceptional hospitality, Mountbatten Bungalow is the perfect choice. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy. Our stay was an unforgettable experience, and we hope to return one day.

We had such a lovely time at Mountbatten Bungalow. The property itself is so beautiful and unique with the bungalow setup, but the service is really what set it apart. A massive shoutout to the Chief Butler, who truly went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. We went out late for the Perahera festival, and he actually stayed awake until 1:00 AM just to make sure we got back to the bungalow safely. Then, a couple of mornings later, he was right there at 5:30 AM to greet us with a full hot breakfast before we headed out for an early hike. Honestly, nothing was ever too much trouble for him. That level of extra care made us feel so looked after! The only minor thing that could have made the stay absolute perfection would be a heated pool, as it gets a bit chilly. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and really appreciated the personal touch.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountbatten Bungalow, Kandy, this weekend while celebrating my mother's birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience.|When making the booking, I requested a small birthday cake for Sunday so we could celebrate. To our surprise, the hotel arranged it completely free of charge. They brought out the cake while playing the Happy Birthday song, making the moment so special and unforgettable for my mother. We really appreciated this thoughtful gesture.|From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Check-in was smooth, and our rooms were ready on time. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. A special thank you to Hasantha and Srilal, who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.|The highlight of our stay was definitely the food. Every meal was absolutely delicious, and the quality exceeded our expectations. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after.|Thank you to everyone at Mountbatten Bungalow for making our family celebration so special. We highly recommend this beautiful place and look forward to visiting again!
