We had a wonderful stay at Oak Ray Regency. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to the team Front office department. (Thilini,Jhon,Charith) for making my birthday so memorable with a wonderful surprise. It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made our stay extra special. We really appreciate the kindness and effort you put into making the celebration unforgettable. Thank you to the entire Oak Ray Regency team for your outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the future!

We had a very short stay at OAK RAY Regency Kandy while attending an event in Kandy, it was a pleasant experience overall. The biggest highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the front office team made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Thilini and Zafray, who were always friendly, professional, and accommodating. Their warm smiles and willingness to help made a lasting impression and added a personal touch to our stay. The hotel’s location was also very convenient, with easy access to both the Sri Dalada Maligawa and the University of Peradeniya, which was exactly what we needed. The only area that could benefit from improvement is the in room facilities. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, would benefit from refurbishment and modernisation to match the excellent standard of service provided by the staff.

Went to a wedding at Oak room. Food was delicious. But table service was very poor. Only 2-3 waiters were there for the whole banquet hall. It is hard request a glass of water from them. They have less manners and do not respect the personal space of the guests while cleaning. Staff should be more trained or be replaced.

We had lunch here, nice spot along the mahaweli River. The food was very average, the biscuit pudding especially was odd. The main issue was we accidentally broke a drinking glass while eating, which wasnt an issue at the time, the store charged 30AUD to the card after we had left, without notifying us of the charge for the broken glass. Be cautious using your card here.

I had a lovely experience at Oak Ray Regency in Kandy. The hotel is truly beautiful, and the river view is one of its best highlights. The peaceful scenery adds a relaxing touch to the whole stay, making it a great place to unwind. The location near the city while still offering calm river facing views is one of the reasons many guests enjoy it as well. The food was average for me, but everything else about the stay, especially the beautiful river facing setting, made it worthwhile. Overall, it’s a great hotel if you are looking for a peaceful stay in Kandy with a beautiful river view and a relaxing environment.
