Highly recommend. Close enough to town but also away from the hustle and bustle, just up from the lake. Owners are fantastic and the decor is brilliant; truly gorgeous old 1940s style furniture. Nice comfy beds. Balcony to sit on. Our room had a brand new bathroom with a great shower. Lovely breakfast. We even had a jam on guitar with the owner in the evening.

We had a wonderful experience at this Sri Lankan restaurant. The owner, Fais, was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food was served buffet-style with a variety of different plates. If you’re looking for a genuine local experience and want to try a range of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, this place is definitely worth visiting. And if you ask nicely, Fais might even start playing the guitar and sing a few songs!

One of the best meal experiences I’ve ever had! We had to reserve in advance because everything is home cooked and fresh for the day, and it was absolutely worth it. The meal was massive, offering unlimited helpings of everything. We started with soup and moved on to rice, dal, chicken, and an incredible spread of over 15 different vegetables. The homemade lemonade was also delicious and a perfect accompaniment. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is so homely. The hosts and staff are warm and lovely people. We even ended the night jamming on the guitar and singing along with the host. A truly special evening that I can't recommend enough.

I had a lovely stay at Sharon Inn. My room was on the top floor and had a balcony with great views, very quiet and comfortable. Everything worked fine except for the WiFi, but I guess that's Sri Lanka in general. The owner was kind and accommodating, the last day he even sang and played the guitar for me, one of my favourite songs from the Beatles, and he has a lovely voice. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for some peace, away from the hectic touristy area of town. |They also have a restaurant serving local dishes.

Despite the fact we didn't reserve a table, all the stops were pulled to give us one of the best meals we have had in Sri Lanka. Great guitar entertainment from the owner! Thank you! Caroline

Sharon Inn serves lovely, authentic Sri Lankan food with a great host. The jam session at the end was a nice touch. Highly recommended and not to be missed when in Kandy.

Came here for the buffet, delicious vegetarian food at a very reasonable price. A fantastic host and staff, which even included some entertainment. One of the highlights of my stay in Kandy, a must visit!

They consistently fail to update their booking apps on time and frequently overbook. After experiencing overbooking, they never contact us to inform us until we reach out to them. Their customer service is extremely careless.
