By fair the best hotel we went to during our 3 week trip the service was amazing not a single problem happened. The location was great a short tuktuk ride could get you anywhere in town. Amenities was all you could ask for the state of the art gym had a really nice view of the jungle. Didn’t try the spa but heard it was really good. Every was clean not a speck of dust in sight. The pool was beautiful nice landscape surrounded it. Nice modern atmosphere. Rooms was great good sized and beds was comfy. Good value for money not crazy expensive.

Outstanding hotel with a beautiful view from the infinity pool. Everything was simply amazing and ALL the staff members are attentive and responsive to guests’ needs. The candle-light dinner arranged for our anniversary in the pool area was very special. The F&B managers did their best to make sure that everything was perfect. The set menu course was very good but could be improved (desserts in particular). The best part was the appetizer “Smoked salmon rosettes on creamy feta cucumber curls”. Also, if you have time, don’t miss the SPA services! A special thanks to Viviana who gave me a great body massage. Will definitely choose this hotel again!

Dear Hotel Management, I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the poor service I experienced when attempting to purchase dinner vouchers from your hotel. I have visited your hotel twice specifically to purchase vouchers for two dinner outings. On both occasions, the staff member responsible for issuing the vouchers was not available. What disappointed me even more was my experience during my second visit. I clearly informed the staff that this was my second time coming to the hotel to purchase the vouchers because the responsible staff member was not available during my previous visit. Instead of taking the matter seriously or providing a proper solution, the staff member simply laughed and told me that he would contact me after two days. I would like to ask: as a customer, am I expected to wait at the hotel until the responsible person eventually comes to the office? If the responsible staff member is not available, what is the purpose of making customers repeatedly visit the hotel and wait for someone to become available? Your staff should be responsible enough to handle such situations and provide customers with an appropriate alternative. It is not reasonable for a customer to waste time and make multiple visits simply because the staff member responsible for vouchers is unavailable. We are your customers, and we expect a professional standard of service. Unfortunately, the attitude shown by your staff made me feel that my time and inconvenience were not being taken seriously. I kindly request the management to look into this matter, address the conduct of the staff involved, and ensure that proper arrangements are made so that customers do not face this kind of inconvenience in the future.

This hotel is fantastic. The interior design is very modern and has a calm aesthetic, particularly the rooms which are fantastic. The food here was also exceptional, with an incredible array of cuisines from around the world at the breakfast and dinner buffets, all cooked to a high standard by the chefs. Very welcoming team and service. The infinity pool and view from the pool are was incredible. Couldn’t be more impressed. Location is about 2km from Kandy lake, so a short ride or medium walk.

Our stay at Golden Crown Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. The front desk team welcomed us warmly and made the check-in process smooth and professional. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The hotel facilities were excellent. The swimming pool was clean and relaxing, the kids' club and playground were fantastic and kept the children entertained, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for families. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding, offering a wide selection of delicious international cuisine with excellent quality and plenty of variety. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and catered to different tastes, making dining at the hotel a wonderful experience. I would especially like to thank Mihirini for her exceptional hospitality. She was incredibly kind, caring, and helpful from the very first day. What impressed us most was that even on her day off, she continued checking on us through WhatsApp and even asked her colleagues to check on us and ensure we had everything we needed. Her dedication and genuine care made our stay even more special. Thank you to the entire Golden Crown Hotel team for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, and the views were nice. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the peaceful atmosphere.My room was cozy and relaxing, and I especially loved the bathtub which was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The infinity pool was another highlight with gorgeous ocean views, though it was a bit on the cool side. I do wish it had been heated, but it was still a beautiful spot to relax. Room service was great too! Good selection and reasonably priced for a hotel.Cons:On my last day, I treated myself to a 90-minute aromatherapy massage at the spa. Unfortunately, I’d rate the spa a 5/10. Living in Thailand has definitely spoiled me with incredible massages, so I admit my standards are high! Still, I think the spa could use a bit of a refresh. The rooms smelled a bit old and weren’t very visually appealing. It was also quite cold during the body scrub and massage, which made it hard to fully relax.Breakfast was okay, but I wish there were more Western-style options available.Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Everything about the hotel itself was lovely, I’d just skip the spa next time!

The Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy is hands down the best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka. The property features amazing food and the most respectful, attentive staff you could ever ask for.The hospitality here is truly unmatched. The owner, Mr. Chanu, happens to be my father's past pupil, and he went completely out of his way to make our stay memorable. He even kept on calling personally to check in and look after us throughout our time there. Combined with a really great rate, breathtaking views, and tranquil surroundings, it was an unforgettable experience.I bless him for all the business success in the world. We spent one night at The Golden Crown Hotel as a family and it was a very nice experience. The hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable too. The staff is kind and provided a good service. The infinity pool is really nice and offers a fantastic view of the mountains. Meals are also not bad. However there was a limited buffet available for us (lunch) since there were very less number of guests in the hotel on that day. The hotel also have two kids play areas and some games for adults too. Ms Fathima working at the kids play area was very helpful and looked after the kids well. Update: although the lunch was a limited buffet, following dinner and breakfast had a full buffet with lot of variations.
