Our stay at the Forza Mare Hotel on the Bay of Kotor was exceptional. This lovely boutique hotel offers personalized service that is difficult to find. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed to ensure every aspect of our stay was perfect. The setting is breathtaking. Located directly on the waterfront in Dobrota, the hotel enjoys stunning views across the Bay of Kotor, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere away from the crowds while still being only a short drive from Kotor’s Old Town. They have bikes available for a short ride into town. The private waterfront area was ideal for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the incredible scenery. Our room was beautifully appointed, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel’s boutique character is evident, with our room offering a unique style and charm. Housekeeping was excellent, and every detail reflected the standards of a true luxury property. Breakfast each morning was outstanding, featuring fresh local ingredients and made-to-order items. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant and were impressed by the menu and wine list. What truly sets Forza Mare apart is its atmosphere. With only a small number of rooms, it feels more like a private waterfront residence than a hotel. If you’re looking for a sophisticated, romantic, and relaxing base from which to explore Montenegro and the Bay of Kotor, Forza Mare is an easy five-star recommendation. We would return without hesitation.

We didn’t really know what to expect before arriving at Hotel Forza Mare. The photos looked beautiful, but somehow the property was even more stunning in person. Our room exceeded every expectation, and the entire hotel was absolutely breathtaking. It truly made our stay in Kotor. We actually found ourselves having trouble leaving the property each day because it was such a peaceful and beautiful place to spend time. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. Because it’s a boutique hotel, every interaction felt personal and thoughtfully tailored, which made our stay feel really special. One of my favorite parts was the private beach area. Being able to jump into the crystal clear water whenever we wanted was incredible, and it quickly became one of our favorite daily rituals. I already miss it so much and wish I could be back there right now. I would absolutely stay at Hotel Forza Mare again and will be recommending it to all of my friends and colleagues. If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable stay in Kotor, I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We didn’t stay in the hotel (which looked amazing) but ate at the restaurant on multiple occasions - it is by far the best restaurant in the bay. The most amazing views, fantastic varied menu, and the service was impeccable - all the staff were really personable and helpful but two really stood out and made our meals extra special - giving local recommendations, wine pairings and super attentive. I believe their names were Nico and Felipe. Most of the mains are cooked on an outside grill - the chef was great. Highly recommend!

After quite a difficult day, I ended up having dinner at Forza Villa, and I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Combined with the stunning atmosphere and breathtaking views, it made for a truly unforgettable evening. This place, and especially the staff, completely turned my day around. As I was about to leave, one of the waiters even surprised me with a complimentary cocktail. Thank you so much for such a thoughtful gesture. I’ll definitely be back. P.S. I hope I didn’t look like I needed it that much! 😄

This is an outstanding boutique hotel. We (4 persons) did a 5-weeks trip through Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania, and we saw several great accommodations. But this hotel took the crown. Foremost, the staff is extremely competent and courteous. The hotel is cleverly designed, with the convenience and comfort of guests as the guiding principle. And its location along the bay path was perfect for us as we liked the one hour walks to Kotor center (reducing the car traffic along the bay path, however, would be great for walkers).

We stayed at the Forza Mare hotel for our 20th wedding anniversary and it really was like a second honeymoon. When we arrived at the hotel and shown around, the hotel and the views are just breathtaking. We had room on 3rd floor (one floor above reception), sea view with balcony, waking up each morning to that view was a joy! Really great facilities, lovely spa area and we also got massages which were excellent. Nice private area for sunbathing and access straight into the water - never got tired of that! We had breakfast and lunch which were both really good each time. We didn't have evening meal but the grill station looked great. Good option to borrow bicycles and head into old town Kotor, about 20 mins. All of that was excellent but what really made the difference was the staff, they were excellent, friendly, happy and helpful at all times. From the original booking and being really responsive to questions, arranging transport from Dubrovnik, receiving paddle boards that we hired, giving local advice... and more. Huge thanks to the team for making our stay so memorable, we hope to return soon! Oh, and the Kotor cable car was excellent and the alpine coaster is an absolute must!! Get the fast pass to avoid queue!

With a world full of discrimination and racism, we the professionals always keep our gaze and behaviour in check, that i noticed in you. For you every customer is equal. Different countries have different manners, but people judge others too quick. You're kind, professional, polite. I hope we get to meet again. Please do contact me when you come to Paris. Although i didn't carry my business card because the restaurant was 5 minutes walk from my acomodation, but i did leave you my number. Good luck buddy👍....

My partner and I were going to eat at the restaurant here but as we were walking past, we witnessed a member of staff strike an innocent kitten that was in their garden. Awful behaviour and we definitely will not be coming here.

Good day madam Holly and Mr. Daniel, Just to add a little context, as the person you described actually has three kittens of his own at home, as well as a cat, and he lives very close to the hotel. He regularly feeds and takes care of them, although, as we all know, cats certainly have a mind of their own and clearly do not always listen! It is actually quite amusing for us because, despite all the food and attention he gives them, they still somehow prefer to occasionally visit our terrace for a little extra attention from our lovely guests. Of course, we hope you understand that this can be frustrating and annoying for the person who needs to takes care of them and who takes care about property policy. We are truly sorry both for having to witness this unfortunate jealousy episode.
