When I made the reservation, I clearly booked a room with a double bed, but when I checked in at the hotel, the front desk staff simply told me that double-bed rooms were no longer available and arranged two single beds for me instead. What I found most unacceptable was this: if double-bed rooms were already unavailable, why was the room type still open for booking online? Guests pay and reserve based on the room type they choose, not to have it changed arbitrarily upon arrival. This really made me feel misled, and even as if the hotel was deceiving customers. In addition, the room facilities were very poor. The air conditioning was not cold at all. I already asked the staff to come and check it, but the problem still was not resolved. The room was extremely uncomfortable to stay in. The bathroom lighting was also very dim, which made the whole room feel even more depressing. You pay for a comfortable stay, but this time everything—from the room arrangement to the facilities and the overall experience—was extremely disappointing. I would not consider staying here again.

Google· 2 months agoI would not recommend this hotel. Room was very unclean, dirty walls, lots of dust and grime and hair. Towels were stained and gross. Overall just didn't feel like clean or like you want to look too close. NO HOT WATER most of the time tried to shower for our few days. Bring your own blow-dryer as well. Not very soundproof to outside noise, as of this post extremely loud construction next door all day. Beds were cheap and uncomfy but not horrible. Useful to know there is only overhead lighting in the rooms and the AC is loud. The bathroom is also only a fogged glass wall with a door that didn't close properly, can be awkward. Staff was not jumping to help or be kind but was never rude and answered questions. Breakfast is very basic and bland but wasn't horrible. Decent location for train and china town access

Google· 5 months agoOverall: Average Good spot, but sometimes traffic is bad—2km can take 30 mins. Breakfast has enough choices for most people (no Indian though). Big problem: Bathroom has no lock (funny!), and it has a glass door next to bed (not private), no hot water (had to run tap a long time for tiny warm bit). Need cash deposit (refundable, have MYR ready). Staff is nice and helpful. OK for 1 night, not for long stay (my view—check yourself and do your own research).

Trip.com· 5 months agoThe hotel Pacific Express Central Market prime position is its biggest selling point—it is perfectly situated within close proximity to Pasar Seni and Masjid Jamek LRT, and it so near Central Market(walking distance less than a mins. To petaling street(china town) 10mins When it comes to dining, there is absolutely no need to worry at all, even if you’re not a particularly picky eater. The area surrounding hotel is teeming with a diverse array of food stores, local eateries and cozy restaurants, offering an extensive selection of delicious cuisines to suit all tastes, you’ll find plenty of wonderful dining options just a short walk away. Overall my stay at Pacific Express Hotel Central Market was perfect.(except the water heater is not function well, water flow hot for a while then cold again rm8521), other than that the room is spacious, with small refrigerator, nothing to compare with such nice room and reasonable price. The unrivaled location, convenient dining choices combine to create a truly wonderful living experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur, and I will definitely choose to stay here again.Room is perfect clean, with a large lobby, good security. Must try!

Trip.com· 5 months agoEverything is good and the service was on top. The moment you entered the room, they prepared mineral water bottle on the table. The room floor are a bit dusty, I hope they take note on that. Sadly the pool were opened until 7.00pm only. I think it's much better if the time can be extended so that people can enjoy the night view of Pasar Seni. Overall, I enjoyed the service provided by yhe hotel!

Google· 4 months agoExtremely poor and unsafe experience. The hotel staff was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. We had booked 6 rooms, but at check-in we were suddenly told to pay a 50 MYR deposit per room, which was never mentioned beforehand. Since no currency exchanges were open nearby at that time, we requested them to at least issue keys for 5 rooms based on the deposit we could arrange, but they refused to cooperate at all. The supervisor’s behaviour was the worst part. She was visibly angry, aggressive, and intimidating. It felt less like dealing with hotel management and more like being pressured by hostile staff. Overall, the place felt unsafe, badly managed, and extremely uncomfortable for tourists. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. You can easily find much better and safer options in the same price range.

What is advertised on international travel websites bears no resemblance to the reality we encountered upon arrival.|**Insecurity and Suspicious Behavior:**|The hotel lacks the basic security measures it claims to provide (in-room safes are non-existent), leaving guests in a state of total exposure. During our stay, we experienced strange incidents with our room key card being deactivated. Most alarming, however, was the management's behavior: on the day of our departure, a man who did not identify himself (and whom we later discovered was the General Manager) closely monitored our check-out, asking with unusual persistence if "everything was fine." **That attitude took on a very dark meaning once we left the country and checked the state of our luggage.** Only then did we realize that our trust had been betrayed and that our belongings had been at the mercy of internal malpractice while we were away from the room.|**Unsanitary Conditions:**|Added to the lack of security is a deplorable state of hygiene. There is **active mold on the walls and air conditioning vents**, filthy furniture, and torn bedsheets. The breakfast service is a health hazard: food is exposed in communal containers without any sanitary control. This "filth" is an insult to the magnificent gastronomy that Malaysia offers and, combined with the constant feeling of surveillance, creates a permanent sense of risk.|**Conclusion:**|We left with a sense of absolute defenselessness and, above all, **extreme vulnerability**. It is deplorable that establishments exist with these practices that tarnish the perception of such a welcoming country. Malaysia is not to blame for how this hotel operates, but this is a serious warning to any traveler: if you value the integrity of your suitcase and your own health, **stay away from here**. It is an alarming example of the worst kind of hospitality practices.
