This hotel has one redeeming aspect which is its excellent location but otherwise the place itself was dated, no places to sit and enjoy the views. The rooms were bare; nowhere to place clothes and toiletries. Two uncomfortable metal chairs were in the room with a small metal table but that was about it. No effort was made in bringing in some comfort and decor. The staff seemed more interested in their own gossip than customer service. For example we had to repeatedly ask for utensils at breakfast.. overall, save your money and spend it elsewhere.

Overall, the hotel was not bad. The problem is that after staying at this hotel, we discovered that our cash, which we kept with our documents, had been stolen. We found only an empty envelope. I thought Costa Rica was very safe, so you could leave your belongings in the room without hiding them. It seems that someone (I believe during room cleaning) found a folder with our documents and took all the cash. Unfortunately, I realized it too late — at the airport. I tried calling the hotel, and they said they would check it, but I have received no reply or any information since then. It was a very disappointing experience.

The address is confusing since it is to the next door property but we eventually found the place it. It is nice please, 10 to 45 minutes drive to any thing you need, easy parking. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was good enough.

Pay a little extra and get in the suites. They have an awesome view of the volcano. Very friendly staff.

This place is a dump, tried to put us in a room off to the side. It's very noisy terrible service from the desk can't even get a piece of ice. I would not book this place for my dog.

Decent rooms, but we had a very bad experience during our group’s visit. So I don’t recommend the place. Cash was stolen from four rooms. Moreover a freshly married couple from our group left their wedding and engagement rings in their room for a few hours and those were stolen as well. We asked for no cleaning and kept the doors locked. Unfortunately we got no support from the owner of the hotel.

Unfortunately, 4 out of 22 people of our group got stolen from during our stay, very likely during cleaning (all of the doors were locked, as we were away for the day). Items, that were at all visible were taken - cash (sum value of about 1000 dollars) and the worst, is one newly wed couple's wedding rings (for whom, this was their honeymoon...). I could never recommend a place like this. Recommend looking for a more trustworthy place to stay. Besides this, shower in the bathroom only functions when it wants to, and the toilet in general is not very comfortable. UPDATE: Meanwhile, we have made the report at OIJ, and they mentioned that another american family was also stolen from in the hotel, the same day.
