Tripadvisor· 4 months agoThe hotel grounds and pool are well kept. The lady making breakfast every morning worked tirelessly. Her breakfast was good and I am sure she is capable of even bettet as she is probably the hardest worker in town. The rooms were decent, HOWEVER their were regular flying ants in my bed at times and in other places. Easy fix, spray some bug killer like everyone else. Also I told housekeeping about the soap dispenser in the shower not working on day one and on day 5 it wasnt fixed. Special note: there were buses of kids in and out. It was extremely noisy at times as I was near the stairs and on level one. I would suggest a room secluded from the groups

Google· 9 months agoCampom Arenal Hotel is a very pleasant place that offers a great balance between quality and price. The rooms are clean, and the entire property is well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. The only minor downside is the lack of sufficient light in the rooms, but it's not really bothersome enough to affect the overall experience. The biggest highlight, however, is the delicious breakfast, which is a true delight. The lady serving breakfast is incredibly kind, helpful, and charming – her positive energy makes mornings start on a great note. I particularly loved the fried bananas – quite simply, the best I've ever had! Additionally, the coffee served at the hotel is exceptionally tasty, which really adds to the overall atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for somewhere that combines good quality with a reasonable price.

Tripadvisor· 6 months agoJust a 10 minute walk north of the busy center of La Fortuna.|The rooms are basic but clean. The grounds are an amazing garden and the pool affords a view of an incredible volcano. |Included breakfast in the open-air dining area is great (eggs, gallo pinto, fresh fruit, etc.)|The staff is friendly.|Note: The beds are all doubles despite what your room description might say. This ended up working out fine for us even though we really wanted queen or king beds.|Note: The lights around the pool don't work so bring candles or swim in the dark. |For $130 per night, this place was great!

Google· 8 months agoRoom was okay for the price, Location is excellent but service is not as accommodating. Kitchen is usually open at 7. We had to leave for activities at 6:30 so I requested for some coffee at 6:15 at the kitchen and they said they can only give me coffee at 7. I have not had that kind of experience before in Costa rica. I would not come back.

Google· 10 months agoEverything was in working order for the most part. Air-conditioning worked. Showers were fine. The breakfast is the most standout item of this accommodation. It was tremendous. The woman making it was absolutely magical. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was treacherous in the room. Practically unusable.

Google· a year agoVery standard for the price. Pros: the view of the Arenal Volcano is fantastic. There’s a standard pool to swim in, and the hotel is a short walk from La Fortuna. It’s a good distance from the Main Street, so no loud trucks or motorcycles to wake you up. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable enough, bathroom was clean and in good working order, air conditioning worked well. WiFi was great. Cons: the walls are really thin and you can hear everything your neighbors are saying or doing very clearly, it can wake you if they’re moving around. Service is also nothing to write home about, but that’s not really as important to me as other things. The breakfast is mediocre with no fruit juice offerings and food that’s clearly been sitting there for hours.

Google· 2 years agoOur stay here this past December was quite enjoyable. The view was peaceful. The proximity to downtown, restaurants, and things to do, was also very good. Hotel accommodations were nice but basic, including a minifridge. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily. Nothing fancy, but included a plate of fresh fruit. We're not fluent Spanish speakers but the staff at the front desk did their best to assist us, whether it was providing an additional set of towels, recommending hot springs, or making reservations. Recommended improvements are adding lights in the pool to make it more welcoming and safe-looking in the evening and hot water for the bathroom faucet. Overall, it was a wonderful stay for relaxing and our day trips.
