We had 3 rooms at Hotel Mundial at the beginning of September. The location is good- walkable to much of the city. Front desk staff were excellent- friendly and efficient with helpful recommendations. The rooftop bar was nice, but small, nothing to do about that. The rooms were clean. The only negatives were a lack of options for plugs/usb chargers and the noise. Lots of yelling in the adjacent square at night. I slept through it but others in our group didn’t.

We loved this hotel! The location is very central and also right beside a metro station if you want to go further a field. Tram 28 goes from outside also. The staff were all so friendly. The rooftop bar is stunning. Lovely breakfast. Nice big rooms. Really can’t fault it. I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel location was excellent, very close to everything. Super convenient! We will staying 4 nights. We got brand new room with front park view , service was super excellent. Received welcome gift / small wine, 2 small Pastel de Nata and 2 complementary free drink .

This is one of the best hotels I've ever been to. The service is perfect. The staff takes care of you in exceptional ways. You would think this is more like a 5 stars hotel instead of a 4 stars. The room is clean and equiped with everything you need. They even offer a welcome gift on your first day (a small bottle of porto and a pastel)! The location is great. The breakfast is well balanced and has everything you want. I will always choose this hotel when I come back to Lisboa.

Even in a classic room, the experience was fine. The personnel is wonderful, everyone is nice and wants to help. The location of the hotel is great, close to transports and most visits. Only one remark, for breakfast; it is o.k. but for people who stay for several days, it definitely needs to be more varied, otherwise it become less enjoyable. The rooftop restaurant is good for a drink or a simple meal but the other one; the Varanda is the best. We ate there three times! Overall a positive choice!

The hotel is in a perfect location, the lobby, bar and restaurant are of a high standard. Our 3-bed room on the 5th floor was clean and comfortable, but could do with some renovation. Small snacks would be nice for guests who leave at 3:30 in the morning and have paid for breakfast but don't use it.

The noise from neighbourhood is quite intense, especially if your room is facing the square. There are a lot of men loitering in the area so be sure not to walk at night time alone. There was one young gentleman in glasses helping at the front door, amazing and attentive. Aside from him, everyone at the desk is quite cold and one made me felt like I did something wrong just by asking to break change (in order to tip cleaning staff!). The breakfast area is very hot but the team working there is lovely. Room was spacious but typically on the warmer side.

You can eat well without leaving the hotel. Varanda de Lisboa serves traditional Portuguese cuisine, and the Rooftop Bar Mundial, Maximinus Bar & Lounge, and 28 Restaurant & Terrace offer drinks, snacks, and meals. Just outside, Casa das Bifanas, Ginjinha Rubi, and Manjerica are all within a 2-minute walk. For a change of scene, Capítulo Restaurant & Bar is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel's own bar and snack bar are also handy for a quick bite.
