A lovely B&B just a short walk to Lucca Historical centre. Included parking which was a huge plus. Host was very helpful and arranged to let us access the parking earlier in the day. Our room was ready early. It was a decent size and the bathroom was huge - great shower with decent pressure. Importantly given how hot is was, the air-conditioning is strong and kept the room cool. We had to leave before breakfast and so our host kindly made us a breakfast to go and left it in our room for us. Very thoughtful. If you are visiting Lucca then I definitely reccomend staying here.

We enjoyed three wonderful nights here. Villa San Donato is the perfect place to stay for visiting Lucca - just 5 mins walk from the city walls. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and very well presented and Luca was an exceptional host - so helpful and friendly. We loved every minute of our trip and look forward to returning.

Beautiful B&B just outside the walls of Lucca but an easy flat walk to the centre. The rooms are very clean and quiet and it has a beautiful garden where you can relax after sightseeing. A simple but fresh and delicious breakfast is served with the added bonus of being able to eat it outside in the sunshine, Luca is an amazing host very generous and kind which adds to the pleasure of staying here. All in all a wonderful stay in beautiful Lucca

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. Our room had a narrow balcony, which was lovely to sit out on with a glass of wine overlooking the garden. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served to us from a wide buffet selection and we found a lovely spot to sit outside. Location was great, just outside the city walls. The host, Luca, is very kind and helpful and even picked us up from the station and dropped us back.

Great place very well kept high standards . Comfy bed , large rooms and nice ensuit. Greeted fantastic on arrival with maps and knowledge of what and where to go. Secure parking on premises with electronic key for the gate. 4 min walk to Lucca walled city. Plenty of relaxation areas around the Building and private. Would highly recomend this stay. Bikes to hire at a great price or just walk.

Our stay at Villa San Donato was great. Luca, our host, exceeded expectations in every way. He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station and gave us excellent advice about what to see in the old walled city. The location was perfect. Only a few minutes walk to the gates of the old city. It was perfect to walk off dinner every night! Coffee, fresh fruit and pastries every morning On the balcony, in the garden, or inside if you choose. The room, and the inn, were spotlessly clean and the mattress is our room was super comfortable.

This B&B is a true gem! A beautiful town villa with beautiful and cozy rooms, a beautiful garden and a lot of attention to detail. It‘s owner Luca was super friendly & welcoming, always available for recommendations and other questions. We really enjoyed our stay!

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the sunny garden is exceptional. But the greatest thing about Villa San Donato is the host, Luca. He was incredibly helpful from the moment we contacted him about booking a room. He even helped us out on our last day and dropped us to the train station as some roads were closed due to a concert. The villa is a short walk from the city walls and extremely quiet and peaceful. Great value, would highly recommend!
