Response from the property
Dear Shai, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely regret that your arrival experience did not meet your expectations, especially after traveling and arriving so early in the morning. We would like to clarify that our guaranteed check-in time is at 14:00 on the day of arrival. Subject to availability and depending on hotel occupancy, we do offer an early check-in option starting at 10:00 for an additional fee of €40. Currently, we are experiencing extremely high occupancy rates and are completely fully booked. This makes arranging early check-ins highly complex, as rooms are occupied by departing guests until their checkout time. Therefore, when an arrival is as early as 6:00, we always recommend booking the room from the previous night to guarantee 100% immediate access. Our housekeeping and operational schedules must be respected to ensure our high standards of cleanliness for everyone. Since you are staying with us today, please be assured that our entire team will do everything possible to ensure you have a pleasant stay and make you feel completely at home. Sincerely, Lara Martín Guest Manager

The hotel's own Bumpgreen restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, and Coquetto Bar on Calle Fortuny 2 offers traditional Spanish dishes with a modern twist. Fortuny Home Club at Calle Fortuny 34 houses the Italian restaurant Benedetto, the Henriette Cocktail Bar, and La Cúpula Garden terrace. For more options, the surrounding Almagro neighborhood is known for its renowned restaurants, and Calle Ponzano, a short walk away, is one of Madrid's main dining streets. You can also explore the nearby Salamanca district for additional eateries.
The hotel sits in the calm, embassy-lined Almagro neighborhood of Chamberí, with elegant residential streets and high-end shops nearby. You are a short walk from Paseo de la Castellana, Madrid's business hub, and close to the upscale Salamanca district. The area feels local and established, with quiet streets and few tourists, yet it is well connected by metro. For a livelier scene, Plaza de Olavide in nearby Trafalgar has terraces and a local crowd. The hotel's own Bumpgreen restaurant and the nearby Coquetto Bar and Fortuny Home Club add dining and evening options right on your doorstep.
From Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, take metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios, then transfer to line 10 to Alonso Martínez station, an 8-minute walk from the hotel. A taxi or private transfer takes about 30 minutes. From Atocha Station, take line 1 to Tribunal, then line 10 to Alonso Martínez. From Chamartín Station, take line 10 directly to Alonso Martínez. A taxi or private transfer from either station takes about 15 minutes. Alonso Martínez is served by lines 4, 5, and 10.
For an evening out, the hotel's own Bumpgreen restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes, and the nearby Fortuny Home Club on Calle Fortuny 34 offers an Italian restaurant, a cocktail bar, and a nightclub. Coquetto Bar on Calle Fortuny 2 is a short walk away for traditional Spanish food and drinks. The area around the hotel is calm, with quiet streets, but you can reach livelier spots like Plaza de Olavide or Calle Ponzano for more bars and restaurants. The Cibeles Fountain is a 13-minute walk, and Puerta de Alcalá is 12 minutes, both nice for an evening stroll.
One Shot Fortuny 07 is a great base for exploring Madrid on foot. You can walk to the Museo del Romanticismo in 9 minutes, Puerta de Alcalá in 12, and the Cibeles Fountain in 13. El Retiro's Great Pond is an 18-minute walk, and the Prado Museum is 21 minutes away. Plaza Mayor is 2.0 km, so you might take a short metro ride or taxi for that. The hotel is also near Paseo de la Castellana, with easy access to public transport for reaching other sights. From here, you can comfortably cover many of the city's highlights without long commutes.
