Google· 7 months agoStayed here for a few nights in Polanco and it was a fantastic choice—classic luxury with that iconic mid-century vibe! The hotel's design is stunning (those bold colors, art pieces, and architecture from the '60s still feel fresh and cool). Rooms were spacious, super clean, and the bed was insanely comfortable—better sleep than at home. Loved the heated pool (perfect for morning laps), multiple restaurants on-site (shoutout to Morimoto for the amazing fusion food), and the gym/spa area. Staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way—front desk helped with everything from restaurant recs to late check-out. Location is prime: walkable to upscale shops, great dining in Polanco, Chapultepec Park, and museums nearby. Super safe neighborhood too. Only minor nitpick: some parts feel a bit dated (but in a charming way), and value depends on your rate—got a good deal so it felt worth it. Free parking and solid WiFi were bonuses. Overall, highly recommend for business or leisure in CDMX. Will definitely stay again! 10/10 for the experience. 🇲🇽✨

Google· 2 months agoThe facilities, location, and pricing are excellent, and most of the staff were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the reservation support was well below the standard I would expect from a business hotel. At check-in, I discovered that I had been double-booked — once personally and once through my company. I reported the issue immediately and was told the duplicate reservation had to be cancelled through my travel agency. I then spent considerable time contacting the agency, only to be repeatedly advised that their calls and emails to the hotel had received no response. I have now checked out, and the issue remains unresolved, with no clear follow-up or explanation from the hotel. As a frequent business traveler, I understand that booking errors happen. What is unacceptable is the lack of ownership, communication, and timely resolution after the issue was reported. Guests should not be left repeatedly coordinating between the hotel and a travel agency to resolve a straightforward reservation issue. Despite the property's strengths, this experience significantly affected my overall impression. Based on the level of service and follow-through I received, I would not recommend this hotel to colleagues or consider it for future corporate travel.

Google· 4 months agoOur stay was disappointing overall, despite some excellent reception staff. Firstly, an older male staff member stopped my partner and me on our way back to Room 1311 at around 7:00 pm and told us that we needed to register our baby, even though we had already completed check-in at approximately 1:00 pm that day. Being approached several hours after check-in in this manner made us feel very uncomfortable and singled out. The matter was serious enough that I lodged a formal complaint with the duty manager, Emily, on 8 June. Secondly, I was unhappy with the service provided by an older waiter at breakfast. When I asked whether I could settle the bill at the restaurant cashier or charge it to my room, he insisted on processing the payment directly himself. The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational, and he repeatedly focused on payment and tipping without even a simple thank you. Staff should communicate with guests in a more courteous and professional manner. Thirdly, the room we were assigned had neither functioning air conditioning nor adequate ventilation. Considering the premium price paid for the stay, this was unacceptable. We had to report the issue at night, and as we were travelling with a newborn baby, we considered this a health and safety concern. The only highlight of our stay was the reception team. Antonio, Omar, and the other gentlemen at reception were outstanding throughout our visit. They were professional, welcoming, and made us feel valued as guests. Unfortunately, due to the issues above, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Trip.com· 6 months agoHotel is at good location but rooms are old. We found hair of old guests in the shower. The water they leave is very small. It's very old style hotel. Good for one or two nights surviving in the city. Location is pretty good tho.

Google· 3 months agoI am Marriott Loyal fan, but with the World Cup and so many recommendations to stay in Polanco I ended up at Camino Real. The pictures don’t do justice. It felt modern, open and a great vibe. I paid extra to have a better room and access to the lounge and was worth every penny. The lounge is a vibe. The exterior of the hotel very green, overwhelming amount of birds to the point you wake up with them singing at your window. Air conditioning not great, but I’ve noticed this is everywhere in Mexico. I would stay again!

Google· 5 months agoNice location but also very pricy place. In my opinion this hotel is overdesigned. Eg the lights can only be handled at entry door. But what about the bedside? Go in darkness to bed? And why is no exhaust air in the bathroom? Small things got forgotten. Should not happen for this room prices.

Google· 4 months agoThis hotel isn’t your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter chain; it actually has its own personality. The reception staff were genuinely friendly, and the rooms were both spotless and surprisingly massive. If you enjoy good water pressure with actual hot water, the showers deliver. Plus, the gym is modern and stocked with equipment that doesn't look like it survived the Cold War. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey by Mexico standards, but it earns its keep. It features a killer omelet station, a salsa lineup with multiple flavor profiles, and an assortment of fresh fruit so vast it looks like a tropical supermarket display. However, I have two major grievances—both of which seem to be part of a global hotel conspiracy: First, the thermostat is under strict, dictatorial house arrest. It absolutely refuses to drop below 21°C (a stubborn 70°F for my American brain), holding that temperature hostage all night long. Second, the feather down pillows possess the structural integrity of a cloud and offer absolutely zero head support for side sleepers. By midnight, your head is effectively flat on the mattress. The Verdict: If your perfect night’s sleep requires an arctic tundra environment and a pillow that actually supports human anatomy, you’re going to be disappointed. But if you can look past the mild night sweats and the flat head, the stellar staff and the incredible breakfast make it worth the stay.

Google· 6 months agoNice location. Hotel is nice but old. Breakfast was good but expensive. I saw one employee was talking to another employee eating blueberry picking up with her hand from the fruit bowl. I didn’t want to eat that anymore. Other than that, people are friendly here.
