The customer service was incredible, the hotel is a bit old but well taken care of. The rooms were pretty clean. And the part that I absolutely loved is the decoration it felt so cozy and it had a lot of history from the 1900s as it has also a historic museum within the hotel. The hotel had class and the vibe in general was amazing. I also loved the Breakfast at the buenos diaz restaurant and the location was just perfect, a lot of restaurants close and didn't feel unsafe or noisy.

Disappointing Stay Despite a Great Location I stayed at Hotel Geneve Mexico City for five nights. The hotel is centrally located in Roma Norte, which is a really cool and convenient neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and things to do nearby. The front-of-house staff were consistently polite and courteous, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall stay did not meet my expectations. My room was on the second floor and felt quite dated. It had carpeting and smelled a bit. Housekeeping was also inconsistent during my five-night stay, which was disappointing. I also had a particularly negative experience with breakfast. I only ate breakfast at the hotel once and specifically requested à la carte. However, I was charged for the buffet, which was almost finished when I arrived. As a result, I only had the chilaquiles, which were essentially chips and salsa. I was also charged separately for drinks. Most concerning, I subsequently became ill with what I believe was food poisoning right after the meal which is odd because it was essentially chips and salsa. That was the only time I felt sick on the trip. Overall, while the location is excellent and the front-of-house staff were pleasant, the dated condition of the room, inconsistent housekeeping, and my poor breakfast experience significantly affected my stay. I saw on tik tok that some rooms did not have carpet so I recommend you ask if you choose this hotel. Good luck!

Good afternoon! My wife and I were recent guests at the hotel, April 2-12 and I wanted to circle back around and compliment the staff on a wonderful experience and stay at the property. The attention and service was impeccable from the moment we checked-in, our hands washed and ringing the bell to the service in the lobby, the bar and restaurant. Not a single complaint. Your staff treated my wife as royalty and I really appreciate the attention given. We travel to DF often and normally stay in Polanco at the Marriott, but, after this experience we will return to the Geneve. All the best! Robert S.

We had a fantastic 4 nights here. The location is excellent, safe and a fun area with a lot going on! The breakfast is great, lots to choose from and the staff super friendly. There’s a gym with some decent weights and plenty of machines. There’s a steam room each day from 9 to 11 am and a sauna on request up until 5pm. All included in the room rate.

​Historic charm and excellent service! ​The Hotel Geneve is a stunning building with so much character. We stayed for 2 nights in February- we arrived early for check-in during a very busy time, but the staff was incredibly fast and helpful. They even showed us a larger, refurbished room in person before we committed to the upgrade, and it was worth it! The room was massive—easily three times the size of the huge, comfortable king bed—with charming vintage furniture accents and windows that actually open. ​It’s a great base for getting around; we used Uber for all our sightseeing and it was very convenient. ​Don't miss: ​The Telephone Bar: Perfect for a nightly cocktail. ​The Cafe: I went for breakfast alone and, while the formal uniforms were a bit intimidating at first, the staff was wonderful. The best part? The bill comes in a tiny musical typewriter! ​Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and a touch of old-world Mexico City magic.

Gorgeous historical hotel. Makes you feel like you are living in a Hollywood movie but without the costs. Restaurants on site make it easy if you don’t want to leave the hotel for the evening. Close enough to Chapultepec to walk without being in the congestion surrounding it.

My wife and I stayed here for six nights recently during our stay in CDMX. I'll start by saying the staff is excellent and the service is phenomenal. Our first room was a bit small but the front desk staff was able to switch us to a larger room in the same category as our reservation and we're very helpful and accommodating. One thing both rooms had in common was the need for deep carpet cleaning or replacement. Overall the room was good, but the carpet has definitely seen better days. The lobby is gorgeous and the location was very central to most everything we wanted to see in the city and we found ourselves walking to most places. Overall I would recommend this hotel
