Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Travelled from Ireland for a short visit. Ideally situated within a short walking distance from 5th Avenue and subway stations. The hotel has an 'old world' charm and the Irish memorabilia helped me feel at home! It was quiet- I had a room on a high floor at the rear- there are not too many rooms per floor and so very little foot traffic on the corridors. The room was spotless - a credit to housekeeping-and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. There is a small bar with a pleasant atmosphere. Chris and all his staff were very welcoming .I would definitely return and highly recommend.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The room was fantastic for the price—spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Hotel beds can be very hit or miss, but this one was an absolute home run. I fell asleep almost immediately and enjoyed one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. While space in NYC is always at a premium, the bathroom felt surprisingly spacious. The shower had plenty of room, and although the water took a few extra seconds to warm up, once it did, it was excellent. Overall, the room was much larger and more comfortable than what I’ve experienced at many other NYC hotels. I’ll be back in the city again next week, and I’m genuinely excited to be staying here again. This hotel will definitely be my go‑to spot in NYC.

Myself and my husband recently stayed for five nights at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel and had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations, but what truly made our stay so special was the incredible staff. Every single member of the team was warm, friendly, welcoming and genuinely accommodating throughout our visit. A very special mention has to go to the General Manager, Chris, whose Irish charm and hospitality absolutely stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure we had such a memorable stay and made us feel completely at home in the heart of Manhattan. The hotel itself is perfectly located on Lexington Avenue, comfortable, full of character and has such a lovely atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so special. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. A true 5-star experience!

We stayed at this hotel for one evening midweek. Upon our arrival at about 11am, the people working in reception were not particularly warm or welcoming, somewhat brusquely explaining to us that our room was not yet available, even though we did not ask for our room, nor did we expect it to be ready that early. Instead, we asked if we could check our bags at the bell desk, and said we’d be back at the regular check-in time of 4pm. When we returned at around 4:30, there was only one person at the reception desk, although there were 4 people ahead of us. While we waited, my friend decided to get our luggage at the bell desk, and literally waited for a full 10 minutes until someone finally showed up to get our luggage—there was absolutely no one at that desk. Meanwhile, the receptionist, who clearly saw my friend waiting, made no effort to look for or call the bellman. Clearly this hotel is understaffed or uninterested in welcoming guests properly. When it was finally my turn for check-in, there was some confusion about my having a room even though I’d confirmed it that morning when we arrived. Finally we got our luggage and room, but there was no apology at all for the wait. Not a great check-in experience. The room itself was average at best, and quite dark because it faced the back. The bathroom was tired and in need of refurbishment. It was clean however, but not at all fresh. The hotel lobby is minimal with no real place to sit down (other than maybe 2 simple chairs by the elevator). As a result, there’s nowhere to really relax if you’re waiting or meeting other guests. Other than a relatively convenient midtown location, there’s nothing about this hotel or its staff that would make me want to return.

I don’t love the location, midtown isn’t the idle place to be but, I’m here for a wedding so location is just meant to be close to the wedding venue. If I weren’t here for an event, I would never stay in this area. I loved the staff at this hotel, they were all great and it’s so nice that the room service is 24/7. The rooms are very nice but, a pretty major issue is the windows. The windows ARE NOT SOUNDPROOF whatsoever. I can very much hear all sorts of sounds with them closed and when I first walked in I thought they were open because it was so loud. Other than that, the beds were comfy and decor was decent. Additionally, I hate that on the website they don’t give you any menu or room service menu nor do they give you one by default. So, if you are planning a stay here, I attached the dinner and room service dinner menu as well as what they offer for a room service breakfast service. Overall though despite not soundproof windows and decent location, I would stay again.

Stayed here recently after seeing the high ratings. The location on Lexington is excellent. But the experience didn't match what I was expecting. I checked in late at night and there was very little in the way of a welcome or greeting — felt transactional. No water bottles in the room, which is pretty standard at this tier. The room itself felt a bit run down — carpet and decor showing their age. Other reviews mention a 2019 renovation but it wasn't obvious from what I saw. Not a bad hotel. But given the ratings, I expected more.

I'm Irish so I know this might be bias but this hotel really put me at ease while staying in New York. It's like a home away from home but still in the centre of Manhattan. The staff are incredible and the rooms are lovely with big comfy beds. I had an Irish breakfast this morning in the front restaurant and it was the best breakfast I've ever had in the states. Will definitely be returning. 🇮🇪🙏
