First of all, I agree with other travellers' reviews as far as kindness, cleanliness and friendliness of staff is concerned. What I'm extremely bothered nobody mentioned in one single review is thescoustic pollution that haunts this resort There are huge cooling motors and engines everywhere in front of every single door of every single block and the noise is absolutely obnoxious. I immediately asked for a change of my room and I was offered other options on the same category ( I booked with Voyage Prive) but there was no difference as the buildings are all with these horrible engines in front of the doors which have no insulation so imagine the noise. A noise that goes on 24/7. Not what you expect to find after 24 hours flight...I might ss well xtay at home and enjoy my sleep. On the second day, after a terrifying night, I asked again if tnere was really no other quieter accomodation. I was shown another room category that had less noisy engines outside but still annoying for 100 Euros a night. In the end we have been sleeping with the balcony door open so as the sound of the sea has bedn able to mitigate the noise outdoors. I'm a 5 star hotel traveller and the only 2 other times I found myself in a situation l8ke this I have always been listened and treTed as a respected guest. Not this time. As for the amazing view, have a look at the pictures below to enjoy the eco monsters from the pool that is in need of serious maintenance. Unfortunately, a very disappointing stay. And it was also my birthday....oh yes they made me a happy birthday on my hotel sheets with a nice card from the maid to ask for a review. The work was very well done sweetheart, but I'm also fed up when I read reviews about a hotel to find a listof names to thank. Travellers review the i.pirtant features not the single employee, who cares when you are on location????? Tripadvisor should notbecome an employee of the month site, or if it does, it has completely lost its purpose.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, with a fantastic atmosphere and breathtaking views. There are two swimming pools, and the 180 degree ocean view is absolutely stunning. The restaurants are lovely, and the food was delicious with great quality and flavors. Everything was excellent and I truly enjoyed my stay. The only thing that could be improved is the coffee served at breakfast. Even after trying it on different days cappuccino or americano, My husband and I still couldn’t really enjoy it.

Great room, service, food, view, pool and the room smells good. It was really good experience. The pool was amazing view. A little bit wierd about pool floor but with that kind of view, I can easily forget it. The view from the balcony that I can sit and nap and enjoy my vacation time were amazing. The restaurant also has pool. The morning view from the restaurant pool was absolutely stunning. And feel like you dont have to get out the hotel to enjoy your time. Very enjoy and highly recommended

This is a nice hotel but it’s not perfect. We started in a lower room but we were very close to the driveway so it was quite noisy. We paid for an upgrade up the hill and it was much better. The views are spectacular. The room was comfortable and clean but our bed had bed bugs. We woke up every morning covered in bites. The staff were very friendly and attentive, although sometimes when we called for a buggy to drive down the buggy never showed up. The food in the restaurant is quite average. The swimming pools are great but the beach has a lot of rocks. We liked the location being quiet and peaceful but not too far away. Eat local food in town. Recommend for a couple. Get a villa if you can.

Namaka Resort — 3.5/5 (Overall) Ratings Room: 3/5 Cleanliness & Maintenance: 2.5/5 Service & Staff: 4/5 Amenities (Pools, facilities): 4/5 Location & Views: 5/5 Transport / Shuttle: 2.5/5 Review We stayed at Namaka Resort for several nights. The location is the resort’s strongest selling point — all rooms are sea-facing and the views are spectacular. The property has two large pools (one with a slide) and an infinity pool with direct sea views, which are excellent for families and relaxing by the water. Rooms and cleanliness need improvement. We experienced red ants getting onto food items (even sealed chocolate), which led us to request a room change. The staff were cooperative and moved us promptly, but the underlying issue remains. The rooms feel dated: the wooden furniture and joinery (doors, bed frames) showed wear and in some places required repair. Overall room upkeep and pest control should be addressed to avoid repeat problems. Service at the property was generally good. Staff were helpful and attentive — a special mention to Thal, who was consistently kind and proactive in assisting guests. One operational gap: room service is not available after 10:00 PM, which seems odd for a resort of this size and location. Increasing late-night options would improve guest experience. Facilities are enjoyable — the pools are big and family-friendly. The slide works but feels old and could be replaced or refurbished. Pools and common areas are pleasant and well-suited for both adults and children. Transport and safety: the resort has a shuttle, but communication and frequency need work. I was not informed about the shuttle on arrival and had difficulty booking a cab from Main Road (Big C Kamala) to the resort. I had to request multiple times at reception to get dropped. The 2 km stretch between Main Road and the resort is dimly lit and a bit isolated at night, so a reliable, on-call shuttle service and clearer guest communication are important improvements. Would I recommend it? Yes — for the unbeatable sea views, pools, and helpful staff. However, if you’re sensitive to room condition, pest control, or need late-night room service and dependable transfers, consider confirming these points with the resort before booking.

The hotel itself looks beautiful. The rooms are good, nice balcony with amazing view (when the guys next door are not smoking), small bathroom. The hotel is 1.7 kms from the main beach, can walk to there if you’re not scared of sweating as it’s hilly. The closest beach is great for looking for shells and starfish but too many rocks for swimming. The staff is very disorganised- they asked us to pay a deposit so that we could put the bills on the room, but then told up there was no deposit. They called us at 10 pm to come and pay for the extra bed the first night while we were staying 3 nights, we had bills on our room who were not ours, many times we had misleading information. Fortunately one guy at reception was patient and smart and cleared everything. Restaurant was ok. You can find better value for money

A very nice hotel with a fantastic hillside location and beautiful views. The hotel is quite secluded, and you need to take a taxi to get to the village. However, the hotel does offer free shuttles a few times a day. The rooms are rather small but adequate. The only area for improvement is the bathroom, as it floods after showering in the bathtub. The restaurants are okay, as is the food. There are several pools and a pool bar. The outstanding feature, however, is the excellent and friendly staff, who even made my wife's birthday a lovely one.

Really pleasant 8 night stay. Clean hotel, amazing views and pool, decent breakfast. I think what tops it all is the kindness and smiles from all members of staff. Would highly highly recommend. Additional info: They have free shuttle to the Kamala beach, free parking for cars and mopeds, breakfast runs from 6.30am to 10.30am. Attached restaurant at the hotel has amazing views and great value food, a hidden gem... Avoid the tourist spots (e.g. cafe view point restaurant) and try this restaurant.
