We booked Seabed Grand Hotel as it was advertised as a five-star property. Unfortunately, the services expected from a five-star hotel are not provided.|Upon check-in, we discovered that there is no 24-hour room service and no in-house laundry service. Laundry is handled by an external provider; while she does a good job, this is not the standard expected of a five-star hotel. The laundry is kept behind the reception and delivered and dropped behind the reception counter (see photo)|The television offerings are very limited. There are no international English-language channels such as CNN or BBC, no movie channels, and no option to connect a mobile phone to the TV. The only English channel available is CNA from Singapore, which repeats the same documentaries throughout the week. Most other channels are Thai or Chinese.|Slippers are provided, but they are reusable rubber slippers. It is unclear whether they are washed and disinfected after each checkout, as they are not sealed in plastic to indicate cleanliness.|If your room is on the ground floor, evenings can be very noisy due to kitchen trolleys being rolled to the Seafan restaurant. The noise is quite disturbing and could easily be reduced by replacing the plastic wheels with rubber ones.|Other missing amenities include:|• No balcony chairs unless requested|• No iron or ironing board in the room (available only upon request)|• No water dispenser|• No towels provided in the gym|The staff are very polite and friendly but would benefit from more professional training to meet five-star service standards.|On the positive side, the rooms are very spacious, the shower is excellent, and the wash basin is conveniently placed. The hotel has a nice pool, and a shuttle service is provided to the shopping mall, the old city, and the night market when it is operating. Room was very specious and good bed. Housekeeping maid did a wonderful job. The receptionist who checked us was professional and politie.|Overall, while the hotel has some strong physical features, the services and amenities fall well short of what should be expected from a five-star hotel|We confronted the hotel and the reply was:- Reply from the hotel. As for the balcony chair, due to the limited space on the balcony, placing a chair there may cause inconvenience. However, we will gladly arrange for our staff to place a chair on the balcony upon request, so that you may comfortably enjoy the view. I stayed here for 3 nights recently. To be honest, a very decent hotel that comes with a sizeable room and comfortable bed. The toilet has good water pressure too. However, the amenities are severely lacking. For example, toothbrush is not automatically replenished. We had to ask for 3 nights in a row. In-room slippers are not disposable, which may be unhygienic for some. The staff were not that warm as well. To be honest, this is just a project for us to sleep for the night and the entire experience was forgettable. To be fair, the location is pretty good. A short drive to central Phuket and old town. There are 7-11s, Big C, Tops and Lotus just beside. Aside from this, I will likely not return for another stay.

We spent 16 nights at Seabed Grand Hotel and were really impressed. The hotel is in a quiet area, just a few minutes by scooter from the old town, and the most popular beaches are about 20–30 minutes away by scooter as well – perfect for us. Our room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a balcony, and everything worked perfectly. The staff were always friendly and ready to help, and their little gestures and smiles really made us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty, the pool was large and pleasant, and although the gym isn’t huge, it’s more than enough for a solid workout. All in all, this is a hotel I’d return to without hesitation. I can’t wait to come back, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket.

We had a fabulous 3-day stay at the Seabed Grand Hotel Phuket. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the thoughtful touches—like the wonderful toiletries—really made a difference. Thanks to the central location and the cozy atmosphere, we felt like we were right at home. A truly great experience!

Seabed Grand Hotel Phuket worked well as a base for exploring the area. The location made island trips easy, and the shuttle to Phuket Old Town was a nice bonus, even if getting back meant taking a taxi. I also appreciated the food, which was tasty and fairly priced. Overall, it was a practical and comfortable stay with helpful staff.

The hotel was excellent overall, but the housekeeping service seriously affected my stay. Early in the morning, the staff pushed loud cleaning carts through the hallway, creating a lot of noise. They also left a room door open, which triggered a continuous beeping sound that went on for several minutes. It honestly made me wonder whether the staff were wearing headphones while cleaning, because they seemed completely unaware of the loud beeping and didn’t notice that they had left the door open. As a result, I was woken up much earlier than planned and lost my sleep.

We have had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Seabed Grand Hotel Phuket. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional. The service throughout the entire hotel was outstanding and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Every member of the team was friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The rooms were really good. Clean, comfortable and very well maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Housekeeping was excellent and the overall standard of the hotel is very impressive. The swimming pool is amazing and a lovely place to relax. It’s well kept, spacious and perfect for cooling off after a warm day in Phuket. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The hotel serves some of the best authentic Thai food we’ve ever had. Every meal was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. If you enjoy proper Thai cuisine, you’ll be very happy here. Overall, we couldn’t fault our stay. Exceptional staff, fantastic service, delicious food, and great facilities. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket.

Questionable 5 star hotel rating. While the common areas look really good, my room in particular looked like it had never been cleaned. There is soap scum in the sink and on the glass shower walls. There is mold inside the shower. The floors are dirty. The sink faucet and handle has water stains. There is an odor coming from the bathroom. The furniture has seen better days. The paint and veneers are either chipped or cracked. Maybe it’s the OCD in me but I expect much better than this for the rating the hotel has. On the plus side, the pool area looks very inviting and the lobby looks well maintained.
