We stayed at The Surin from June 5 to June 8, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our whole trip to Phuket. The location is amazing. The beach here has some of the softest sand we’ve ever walked on, and waking up to that view every morning just set the best mood for the day. The service throughout the resort was top-notch. Everyone was friendly, professional, and well trained. A special shoutout to the breakfast supervisor—she was so attentive and responsible every single morning. Seeing her warm smile really made our day feel extra welcoming. We did run into a minor issue during check-out, but the team handled it so professionally and sorted it out right away, which actually left us with an even better impression. The property and facilities are also super well maintained. For what it offers, we think The Surin is easily one of the best values on the island. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Phuket, and couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The beach view was beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. The room was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant.The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, I hope more attention can be given to the cleanliness of the swimming pool. During our visit, I noticed several guests washing their shoes in the pool, and there was quite a lot of sand in the water. It would be great if the hotel could enforce pool rules more closely and maintain the pool area more frequently to ensure a better experience for all guests.Overall, it was a nice stay, and I would consider returning because of the excellent location and stunning beach views.

We absolutely loved our second stay at the Surin. |The service, the food, the beach, the staff, all five star.|The hotel is very tasteful, minimal and not ostentatious. We loved that they kept the old charm of the property.|We were warmly welcomed back and given a room with a beautiful view.|A little suggestion is perhaps to have a discreet chill lounge sunset area, perhaps near the beach restaurant with some music. We were looking for some atmosphere at times. |Hotel provides incredible value for money, kept very clean and remains reasonably quiet.|Cannot wait to be back, definitely amongst the best hotels in the world. Bravo!

Updated review April 2026: Returned here for the second time in nine months and have a few areas of improvement for management: the pool should have some sort of chiller installed. While the black tile is beautiful, during the hottest month of the year, it warms the pool to an uncomfortable level - it’s as warm as a bath and warmer than the ocean. When it’s this warm outside, you want a cool, refreshing pool - not a warm bath. I’d recommend offering complimentary sunscreen like most other hotels at this price point. B$700 for sunscreen is a bit of a joke. Finally, there were several upgraded rooms available when we checked in for our two night stay. For repeat guests, offering any sort of complimentary upgrade should just be a courtesy extended to those that choose to return to you. There’s many great choices here and since you don’t belong to any loyalty program, any gesture would be kind and appreciated. Stayed during rainy season so prices were reasonable and you literally share the beach with Amanpuri next door (arguably the nicest and most expensive hotel in Phuket..). I had a wonderful and truly relaxing stay here. The atmosphere was peaceful, elegant, and perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quality time. The service was exceptional, and the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to the lovely young lady at the Sunset Restaurant, who provided such thoughtful and attentive service. Overall, it was a beautiful experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and memorable getaway, I highly recommend staying here. I would definitely love to come back again! ✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Surin Phuket — Pure Paradise Our stay at The Surin Phuket was truly exceptional — a little piece of paradise. From the moment we arrived, we experienced the most wonderful Thai warmth, generosity and genuine hospitality. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make your stay special — no matter the conditions. The bungalows are exceptional in size, beautifully spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully positioned amongst the lush tropical landscape. They offer a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquillity, making them perfect for couples, families and groups of friends. The setting is simply breathtaking. Serenity, tropical beauty, turquoise water and spectacular sunsets create an atmosphere that is incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. The infinity pool overlooking the beach is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to relax. We loved the experience of practising yoga beachside, guided by highly experienced and knowledgeable yoga teachers whose expertise brought a deeper sense of balance, mindfulness and calm to each session. With the sound of the ocean and the tropical surroundings, it created the most incredible feeling of grounding and serenity. The food was delicious, with the omelettes being a particular favourite! Restaurant service was genuinely five-star — warm, professional and attentive without ever being intrusive. Cleanliness was 10/10, and every part of the resort felt beautifully maintained. A special mention to the manager, Andre, who kindly offered us a late checkout at no extra charge — a thoughtful gesture that made our departure even more relaxed and enjoyable. What makes The Surin so special is that it truly caters to everyone — romantic and peaceful for couples, fun and relaxing for families, and wonderful for groups of friends. But above everything, it is the people who make this place unforgettable. Their kindness, smiles and genuine care make you feel welcomed and looked after from the moment you arrive. My wife and I had the most amazing time at the Surin Phuket. Everything from the room to the food to the service was impressive and impeccable. Although the location is relatively remote compared to all the other things in Phuket, after going to experience all those things it makes you appreciate the serenity that the hotel offers. They make you feel at home and comfortable at the place. The stairs to everywhere can be a little debilitating, but I think everything else more than makes up for that. Shout outs to some specific personnel: we really want to thank Andrew Pape, the Executive Assistant Manager, who consistently went out out of his way to check on us almost every day we were at the hotel, have great conversations, and was super accommodating to help with any issues we had. We also really want to thank Meen Lim, one of the staff who went above and beyond to help get things for us for my wife’s birthday, and was super personable and invested in us our entire stay. Because of them and the work of the entire staff, we would recommend this place to anybody who wants a relaxing luxury experience.

Amazing resort. The views are breathtaking, the cottages well-equipped, and the service superb. We stayed for a few nights and really enjoyed our experience. It’s a “smaller” resort with only about 100 total cottages so it felt small and personal. The staff went out of their way to be personable and to remember our specific orders. The location cannot be beat. The beautiful beach is steps from the pool. The resort is located at the end of a long driveway, but the resort has golf carts that will take you to the end. There is a Top’s Market right next door to purchase anything you may need during your stay. I’d highly recommend this resort and will stay here on my next vacation in Phuket.
