AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Isidel Beach Park is a seaside public space along Bonaire's main coastal road in Kralendijk, home of the island's large BONAIRE letter sculpture — the definitive photo spot every traveler wants to claim.↗↗
Beyond the famous sign, the park is a genuine community gathering space with picnic areas, open lawns, and a beachfront atmosphere where locals and visitors mix in the easy Caribbean rhythm that defines Bonaire.↗
The BONAIRE Letters
In August 2024, the Tourism Corporation Bonaire unveiled a striking sculptural sign spelling out BONAIRE in oversized letters right at Isidel Beach Park. Built in partnership with Bonaire Overheidsgebouwen (BOG), the installation was designed as the island's definitive photo landmark — a place where cruise passengers, day-trippers, and road-trippers can pin their visit to a single frame. Taxi drivers and tour operators had reportedly been requesting such a sign for years, since Bonaire had no equivalent to the famous "I Love Aruba" or Curaçao's Punda letter sculpture.↗
