AT A GLANCE
Why go?
KÖRPERWELTEN Dresden was the acclaimed anatomical exhibition by plastinator Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley, staged at the Zeitenströmung creative campus in Dresden-Neustadt. The world's most visited anatomy show came to the Saxon capital twice — first in 2014 with "Eine Herzenssache" (A Matter of the Heart), drawing over 200,000 visitors, and again in 2022 with the Germany premiere of "Am Puls der Zeit" (At the Pulse of the Times). Both editions used the vast industrial halls of the former turbine factory complex at Königsbrücker Straße 96 to display real plastinated human bodies revealing the beauty and fragility of human anatomy.↗↗↗↗
The permanent listing on Google Maps shows CLOSED status because both runs were time-limited exhibitions rather than a fixed museum. The Zeitenströmung venue itself remains active, hosting immersive art shows, concerts, and major cultural events throughout the year. Körperwelten continues its touring circuit across German-speaking Europe.
