AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Mount Pandy Beach is the kind of stretch of sand that makes you understand why locals keep their favorite spots a secret. Just a short taxi ride from the historic Carenage in St. George's, Grenada, this roughly 500-meter beach sits in a quiet pocket between the harbor and Grand Anse, offering sweeping views of both the fortified harbor and the more famous white-sand beach next door — without the crowds. Darker volcanic sand, clear water, and the occasional thump of local reggae drifting from a nearby spot give it an easy, unpolished Caribbean charm that polished resort beaches simply cannot replicate.↗↗↗
This is not the place to show up expecting a resort pool bar or jet-ski rentals. Mount Pandy Beach works best as a slow morning walk, a snorkel in the shallows where small fish dart around rocky outcrops, or an afternoon of watching the sailboats anchored in the harbor while the light goes golden over Fort George. It is the beach you add to a St. George's day when Grand Anse feels too busy and you want to feel the actual pulse of the town.↗↗
