AT A GLANCE
Why go?
Šepurina Beach (Plaža Šepurina) is the long, sun-bleached pebble bay on the northwest side of the Rogoznica peninsula that most locals and visitors rate as the finest beach in this part of the middle Dalmatian coast. Several hundred metres of rounded cobblestones slope into a clear, calm sea that faces west, so the sun stays on the water for most of the afternoon and the sea here is repeatedly praised as warm, clean and easy to swim in.↗
A holder of the Blue Flag eco-certification for water quality and beach management, Šepurina pairs that natural appeal with proper facilities: outdoor showers, toilets and changing rooms, a lifeguard on a watch tower, deckchairs and parasols to rent, a children's playground, and a beach bar and restaurant within easy reach. It is one of the most popular beaches in the Rogoznica area and a favourite for families and for anyone who wants sea sports on a lively but well-run waterfront.
A pebble beach that earns its Blue Flag
What distinguishes Šepurina from the rocky coves scattered along this coast is its sheer comfort underfoot and in the water. The shore is a carpet of fine, light-coloured cobblestones and shingle running roughly 250 metres, bleached pale by sun and salt, and wide enough that you can find room to spread a towel even on a busy day. The pebbles give way to a smooth, gently shelving sea entry that keeps the water unusually calm and clear for swimming.
